thats some freaking awesome video. waht camera are u using?

Metallover 07.13.2009 07:54 PM

Have you considered uploading these to photobucket, youtube, vimeo, or any other free video website? I don't like downloading things and using my own player...

redshift 07.13.2009 08:09 PM

My 3906 uses a FlyCamOne2- www.hobby-lobby.com/video-camera.htm
The 3905 uses a Creative Vado- http://www.amazon.com/Creative-Labs-...PI/ref=sr_1_2?

Neither of these are HD, but the Vado has a better picture than the FCO. We are not nice to them as you see, and they have survived some incredibly hard hits. My FCO was also soaked back in the winter- still ticking.

One reason I don't do YouTube is because these have already been converted from .AVI to .wmv files, and there would be more quality lost in re-converting them to Flash. And because neither is HD, I can't upload in HD, so I'm stuck in the middle. I'm only doing these videos for myself and some friends, RCMers included:yes:

Look at the FlyCamOne3, just released- wireless, pan/tilt.. http://www.rambizimports.com.au/inde...flycamone.html
Looks good but I haven't found a price yet.

Bondonutz 07.13.2009 08:21 PM

Cool videos, I liked the idea of two cameras in the 2 different trucks. Made some shots like I haven't seen befor. I enjoyed, Thanks.

Thanks Bondo- we have a bunch of 3 and 4 view videos on planes as well- here is the latest aerial vid- www.mediafire.com/download.php?qabmwhn0yzm

_paralyzed_ 07.13.2009 10:16 PM

man, you make the coolest vids. thanks for sharing, it's worth the download!

redshift 07.13.2009 11:05 PM

YW Harold. I try to make ones I personally would want to watch more than once. Mediafire seems to randomly pull vids down, the first vid I did in January is still online. But other ones have been yanked, re-uploaded and yanked again.

Save the ones you like cuz they may be gone tomorrow....

Kcaz25 07.13.2009 11:33 PM

Yet another reason to go with a different upload site. Like Metallover said I not a fan either. I watched anyway and loved it! Did you see the deer as it happened or later watching the video?

Metallover 07.13.2009 11:50 PM

wow. I bit the bullet and downloaded the vids. The onroad one was my favorite, I think because I like to hear the real sounds. But it was so EPIC. The POV is amazing and the car chases,,, wow, nice job.

Both... hehe sorry. Yeah that's why my buddy was creeping in that shot. And did ya see the bug in the pit video.... RC does National Geographic.. we are pioneers lol.

I really don't see what the problem is with the downloads tho.... damn kids and your microwave patience :whip:

I'm unconventional... and my copies are on DVD:na:

Bondonutz 07.24.2009 09:49 AM

Great video, editing is top notch. More off road !

redshift 07.24.2009 10:20 AM

Thanks Bondo, I do what I can with crapass Windows Movie Maker....

More offroad ay... we'll have to see about that. My front CVDs are about ground down to nothing, and seems like everytime I do real offroad I end up killing a rear drive hehe, twisted one MIP like a barber pole, snapped another and even destroyed some drives I had made from bolt stock. So I remade the rears from titanium about 2 weeks ago. The rear is spooled on my rig, so there is no diff relief when I get a rock jammed in one wheel.

I need to look into another cam, as my FCO looks washed out in anything less than a perfect sky... but still such fun lol.

Snipin_Willy 07.24.2009 01:21 PM

Very nice, care to post some pics on how you mounted the cams?

Kahlis 07.24.2009 05:21 PM

Absolutely nuts!! I just placed my order for my own mini camera!!!!

Your gonna break, bend and twist shafts no matter what till you 86 that spool.

I know most of you wouldn't use one even for bashing, but I have tried it diffed and spooled and much prefer the spool. Sure traction in almost any situation and I like that the front diff stays calmer when it's unloaded.

Kahlis, which camera did you order? Glad you liked.

I assume Willy wants to see the 3905 mount, so here it is...

zeropointbug 07.25.2009 05:08 PM

Nice vids Redshift, just watched them both.

Bondonutz 07.26.2009 03:39 PM

I've experimented w/spools myself and I really liked the way it drove and for climbing especially. But after pulling the diff apart a few times for broken spider gear bolts and twisting MIP's I said to hell with it. If your having fun and decent luck then more power to you and keep enjoying !
Nice Camera mount also.

C-5Quad 07.28.2009 04:37 PM

sick videos.......I plan on putting my cam on my 3905 for some nice chase videos but you for sure have a better angle with 2 cams but Ill see how my wideangle looks mounted on the top of the bed on the body......should see the front of my hood and tires like you were standing in the bed with a cam on a real truck.

redshift 07.28.2009 05:35 PM

I need one more cam to be able to do 2 cams on each truck, front and rear. Four videos per run would be a bit of an editing nightmare, but I'm game....

Was looking for higher rez cams, but that presents a whole new set of issues with image stability, durability, etc. So I am looking at the "gumstick" cam for my second onboard cam- http://www.amazon.com/Worlds-Smallest-Camcorder-Built-

This is the same one Grayson Hobby sells for twice as much! Supposed to be a bit better than the FlyCamOne2, and uses a higher compression to get 80 minutes, versus the FCO2's 30-35 min.

redshift 07.28.2009 05:37 PM

I don't know why that link isn't working.... go to amazon.com and just put in "worlds smallest camcorder".

redshift 09.03.2009 11:05 PM

I'm on Vimeo now, in my sig.

Thought you guys might like this one, has an unusual ending

jayjay283 09.03.2009 11:29 PM

that guy totally nailed his cherokee with that plane and kept flying. That mini cam is just cool, feel like a bird LOL

redshift 09.03.2009 11:33 PM

Within millimeters lol... but no contact. We did that on a fairly windy day too. Was hoping to get some super low strafe shots, but I had to drive, watch him and watch for traffic...

jayjay283 09.03.2009 11:42 PM

were you flying ? Yous guys gotz da mad skillz. I have a semi stryofoam park flyer and have to buy new wings each run

redshift 09.03.2009 11:51 PM

I wish... at the rate I'm going I'll be as good as my bro in about 20 years. My vids would be ultra lame without his skills. BTW he did finish off my FlyCam, so video quality will be improving, we're trying some new cams that are much better. Still got more ideas too.

He is nuts with that 3 channel, you would swear he has ailerons. A Super Cub with chopped wings, extended throws and serious power will do amazing things.

Kcaz25 09.04.2009 10:18 AM

Very relaxing yet exciting at the same time. As always great video! Was that not the Maxx mutation in the end of the video?

redshift 09.04.2009 11:17 AM

Yes it was the Mute there, I had the easy job as you can see. We were surrounded by airplane velcro (trees) lol.

My theory is what lacks in video quality has to be made up for in content. Fall colors should be quite a dramatic backdrop in the coming weeks.

Trying to get more subjects for video, but everyone's stuff is broke all the time....
