Medusa going out of business!? NOOOO
I dunno if this is old news but...
"Dear Customers, I'm sorry to say that Medusa Research is leaving the RC Business. We at Medusa want to thank all our customers for their support over the years and wish everyone well. Regards, The Medusa Staff" Damn, I need a Medusa too... Shite! http://medusaproducts.com/ |
Yup, old news...
|
DAMN!
I wanted to be the first to post... |
What?! WTF! Medusas are great motors... :( NO!!!!!
Not back to fiegaos and other chitty chinese motors as the only budget option!! |
Amen...
|
|
Damn, that really sucks. I really hope Castle makes some more winds/sizes of their CC/Neu motor so there is a mid point between crap motors (faeigo) and top-of-the-line (Neu).
|
Oh damn, I guess you can delete this thread then...
|
There are the $180 T8 motors...

Oopsies, I'm retarded.
Misread that. |
The T8 motors only come in 71mm and 76mm sizes what are CRT.5 or Hyper STe owners supposed to use? Castle or Tekin needs to make a nice 5mm shafted 50mm motor...

$165 at tower... -$25+ free ship if your a "club" member = $130 shipped:yes: FYI you can get an offer for a $10 membership by hiting the "proceed to secure checkout" button a few times:wink: |
CRT.5 owners are suppose to spend $$$$ on a 1509 if they want the best. My only regrets I have about doing it is I could have spent the money on a bigger, badder tekin t8 for a buggy or truggy. But I do have a ridiculous crt.5 that will most likely die long before the motor does.
|
I just couldn't get myself to pay more for the Motor than the kit alone. (Hyper STe only $160)

In the end I think they were just a bit too slow to the game for the cars side of the hobby. They only got their 70mm and 80mm launched just before the CC motors came out. Had they been 6mos/yr before, tey could have done really well.
Don't know where these fell for the air and water guys tho. |
I just found out that they are going out of business, that's unfortunate, they had a decent product from what I have heard, but not quite the value of a CC Neu I guess.
|
The CC/Neu had a diameter advantage over the Medusa. 8mm iirc.

I'm not 100% sure about the rc-monster kit. although it looks like it should. |
sure.... deleat my thread, and leave this one... I get it now:lol::rofl:
why not use a novak HV motor in a mini crt?? |
I posted about using the Novak HV motors in another thread. Before I got my Medusa I ran a HV 4.5 on 2s with a MM esc in my CRT.5. It ran great, smooth and stayed cool.
If I hadn't already ordered the Medusa I prolly would have kept the Novak. If you could still get the 1/8" shaft then they could truly shine in 1/10 scale 2wd as well. In some cases you can still use them with the 5mm shaft though |
Medusa no longer in the RC Business
Posted in the first thread about this.

I'v got one with the 1/8 shaft:yes: and nobody wants to buy it:no: |
I've been looking for a 036-50-3300kV so if anyone wants to sell one..
Medusa has been selling out so fast, it's hard to keep stock, one minute, last night, they had 1 3300kV in stock, 3 minutes later, they were out, how lame.. Maybe Castle should buy over Medusa, so that Medusa can still stay in business? Or am I completely missing the point? |
