I have only driving this thing up an down the street. Stupid fast. 45 tooth spur gear 15 tooth pinon. I think im going to gear down to a 13 tooth an tone the throttle punch down

Very nice- but get some hyperion or neu lipos. You'll see a huge jump in performance with the hyp/neu packs. I like the paint scheme, looks like it'll be one damn fast cow!

JThiessen 08.05.2009 04:09 PM

What body is that? I just got done painting up an Illuzion, and I'm not real happy with the look of it - nor of the quality of the body itself. The mold lines on the right and left side are different - probably a quarter inch difference between the two front wheel openings alone...

Snipin_Willy 08.05.2009 04:23 PM

Nice rig,
But where's the baby?

magman 08.05.2009 04:32 PM

Very nice as well.

nitrostarter 08.05.2009 04:35 PM

Love the paint job! Had a wild hair to do one similar but never did.

LOL, you might want to connect the linkage to the steering servo. Its disconnected in the first picture.

PBO 08.05.2009 07:12 PM

Nice! love the paint job also

Are planning on sticking with the Losi motor mount?

cavy 08.05.2009 08:51 PM

The body is losi's body i dont really like the pro line or jcconcepts. I was thinking about the monster motor mount but im not sure im going to the track tomorrow so ill see i f i like evrything. Im kind of nervos about the plastic spur gear though.

i was trying to go for a snow camo on the body but it turned out looking like a dam cow  To be honest with u im new to the hole lipo thing an im from southern california i have not seen 1 person at the local tracks with those batteries but im not against running them. Where can i get one at? Maxamps are a little pricey :surprised: cant be buying to many of them

Andrew32 08.05.2009 10:23 PM

look into hyperion, neu, flightpower, poly.

Pretty much everyon used to run venom and maxamps at my LHS.....but not anymore!

Will save you money too!!! mike sells some in his shop and you can check www.neumotors.com

cavy 08.05.2009 10:37 PM

If you are short on funds I've had great luck w/ the 30c zippy batteries as well. I've been racing 5s 5k and 5s 6k packs in my 8t-e for the entire season and they are still perfect. Just snagged a 30c 4s 5k pack for my buggy as well, but I've only used it a handful of times.. good so far.

Mentat 08.07.2009 02:43 AM

If you are short on cash goto www.hobbycity.com u can get 20-30c 2s-6s lipos for CHEAP. i like the tunigy packs 4s 5000mAh 30c packs for 65 bucks. they have tons of other

ZIPPY Flightmax 5000mAh 4S1P 30C
Are these lipo any good?

BL_RV0 08.07.2009 09:57 AM

They're budget packs, but will get the job done. If you've got the cash, look into the hyperion g3 packs.

Hmmm - I have a couple stock hellfire bodies on my shelf (have a hellfire roller too....just have never done anything with it!). They are factory paint, but should give me a good idea of how it'll look.

They may be budget packs, i have some hyperions packs, and Thunder power 40c packs. Honestly i do not care what anyone says, you will never be able to tell the difference. BUDGET FTW!

cavy 08.11.2009 09:53 AM

Well i stripped those dang 3 mm bolts that hold the motor to the motor mount :surprised: I think the losi conversion motor mount is designed for 4 mm bolts. Not sure but there seems to be a little play.

You can't tell a difference? My G3's blow my other Enerland HP 25C packs away, and out of the ballpark.

Cavy, get some good packs, you will see a huge boost in performance over the MA packs. If you don't like cheaply made packs such as the zippy/turnigy packs (although not too bad), then go for the Hyperion G3 VX packs, pretty well at the top of the performance ladder right now, excellent quality, and the best prices for the high end lipo brands. The MA packs are some of the crappiest around, and HAPPEN to be the most expensive.

big greg 08.15.2009 01:55 AM

the only difference i see in my packs is the one polyquest 6000 i have has less ass then all my zippies, lol

cavy 08.15.2009 09:53 AM

Sweet thanks guys
