a house centipede ran across my wall.......

and I'm friggin' paralyzed and can't do anything about it. Atleast if you kill the darn things you feel better.(as if it were the only one) But I couldn't kill it. NO I COULD NOT!!!!!!! I'm helplessly trapped in bed[stupid non-working legs] It fell from the wall and ran off towards my shoes. {new routine before I put shoes on starts today!}

The silver lining: centipedes eat spiders!

:scratches head and thinks to himself:

How many spiders must I have to sustain centipede life?

No sleep for me, stuck in my head.............................................. .

Foxracin 08.30.2009 08:50 AM

Get a bb gun or a flame throw and kill that bastard.

pinkpanda3310 08.30.2009 08:53 AM

Venting a little! That's all right I reckon I'd get the #$%^ * with that too. Others on this forum may already know but just out of curiosity, why are you in a wheelchair? And do you race? Most driver stands have steps don't they? At least your not dying like some people in my family, just face bigger than usual challenges.

If the critters are near your bed I'd think about a surface spray or something, checking your shoes before you put them on is pretty easy.

I ran my little '84 honda crx into the back of a semi at 90mph. The semi was going 10:oh: The trauma ripped the aorta right off my heart, and during the heart surgery no oxygen went to my spine and I was subsequently paralyzed. Don't do that twice!

There are very few tracks in MN, and even fewer that have handicapped accessible drivers stands, so I just bash. In fact, the closest acccessible track to me is in Wisconsin.

I think I need an airsoft sniper rifle for my problem!

Good choice:yes:

rabosi 08.30.2009 11:30 AM

I was also thinking airsoft but if you have sheet rock walls the BBs could penetrate. Bugs are creepy.

BL_RV0 08.30.2009 01:53 PM

get a really big and long flyswatter..

big greg 08.30.2009 05:08 PM

i like bugs! lol

_paralyzed_ 08.30.2009 08:03 PM

I saw three of the sob's. Well, there were three sightings, I think I saw one twice though, I didn't get his name. All I can think about is where they went to. AAAaaarrrgghhh!!!

whitrzac 08.30.2009 08:50 PM

That's really unusual. It starts out a not uncommon car crash but I've never heard of a heart being ripped from the aorta let alone become paralyzed from it.

Sounds like your house is going to turn into swiss cheese. More holes for the crittters to hide in:lol: Much more fun than the spray.

Bondonutz 08.31.2009 08:53 AM

Moltov Cocktails ?

bruce750i 08.31.2009 10:53 AM

How about the Fly shooter (a little weak) or a blow gun with the blunt projectiles? In the garage? Just grab some of this or any other harsh chemical that has good range and just spray away your troubles.

the doctor term is an "aortic disection". It's only a 3% survival rate nationwide from that. It was dumb luck that they flew me to the one hospital in MN capable of dealing with it. What does it all mean?

+1 for the airsoft sniper. I got one hanging on a wall, with loaded clips right next to it. I bought a bigass hunting scope to put on there as well. It's a little on the heavier side, weighing around 11 lbs, but with the bipod etc. you dont really know. I'd recommend it for those creepy crawlies, except that I have embedded plastic BBs into the drywall in my house from a good 50 ft away. Mabye if someone sells a .03 gram BB it would just bounce around your room

BrianG 08.31.2009 04:17 PM

For the typical creepy-crawlies, I would just get a Nerf gun and modify it for more power. Would be plenty to squash the bugs, but not enough to damage stuff. Plus, the larger projectiles would make it easier to hit the little buggers.

And get one of those mechanical arms to pick up the darts, he can't exactly bend over to pick them up.

:rofl::rofl::rofl:

If you have enough ammo what needs to pick them up ?

_paralyzed_ 08.31.2009 09:06 PM

I like the nerf gun! I stayed up reading about centipedes and spiders and their behaviors and habitats and don't think they really bother me anymore. (you're only afraid of things you don't know about) I'm still checking my shoes from now on though!

Bondonutz 08.31.2009 09:18 PM

Did you read about the Giant African Millipede ?

As a pet!?? No thanks. Why?? Go home at night and snuggle up with your millipede? It takes all kinds.........

scarletboa 08.31.2009 11:04 PM

i like the idea of that spring-loaded fly swatter. if it is too weak, just head down to lowes or home depot and get a thicker spring and you will have yourself a fly (or millipede) sniper.

Yeah, most creepy/crawlies generally leave you alone. Unless of course, you stuff an appendage where they happen to be snoozing. Then they understandably tend to react, much to the chagrin of the owner of the appendage. Just gotta remember that whatever they do is instinct.

redshift 08.31.2009 11:48 PM

"Go home at night and snuggle up with your millipede?"

It's been over an hour, linc is for sure on vacation.

Actually I was just browsing the exotic pets (yes I am quite bored) and one of the offerings is the Madagascar Hissing Cockroach.

Heck, if a woman wooed over a puppy as a gift, imagine her reaction upon receiving one of these, so much more exotic, so much more thoughtful.

If you are a traditionalist, a good skunk is hard to beat.... yes that is really listed.

I feel so much more normal now.

All is well.

Hey! I've always wanted a skunk. They actually make good pets once their stinky bits are removed. I think it would be funny to see the looks as I walk my skumk around the neighborhood. Sadly, I inherited a dog and cat from my g/f when she moved in, and I don't think the skunk and either of those will get along very well.

Get a paintball gun? That should do it.
