My son and I goofing off today.

After work today I decided to test out the Hyper 7 I finished up for my son. I put my spare electronics in there. 13L C50 Hacker, 125B Qaurk, DE BEC, 4S A123 and the cheapo ebay tires. Used a 20T pinion and it still had enough ummphh to pull my son(41lbs) on my Sector 9 longboard. Here's a snippet of the few runs we did. Neighbors were cracking up to say the least.

I've always wanted to try something like that! I still race my BL hyper 7, and with it still being considerably heavier than the rest of the buggies, and much more older, it still keeps pace with them.

That's pretty cool.

snellemin 09.02.2009 04:24 PM

Hey Nis720. Any new projects lately?

I also finished my Tmaxx but haven't driven it in quite some time.

That is one sexy Turbo. You still do nice clean work man.

My 720 has been sitting on my driveway for a while now. My son wants to keep it for when he grows up.:lol:

Byte 09.02.2009 05:47 PM

LOL I like it! I should try that with my Brushless LST with myself

snellemin 09.02.2009 06:02 PM

:lol:Naaaah, I'm just a dark halfbreed chinese guy mixed met Javaanse rijsttafel.

M'n schoon moeder woont in Breda. Ik ben origineel van Suriname en zo is m'n vrouw. Maar ja, Snelleman is Dutch and Snellemin is Javaans.

I just messed your day up heh!

 That really made me laugh

A bit weird to see a Suriname guy which looks like a chinese guy mixed with "Javaanse rijsttafel" speaking dutch lol

Wait... I just see that you've got some Quark ESC's + Hacker motors. Aren't you the guy who sometime sells Quark ESCs on eBay?

EDIT: I just searched, but can't find any Quark sells from you. But I found this: http://cgi.ebay.de/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...m=220450381988 DAMN MAN! What a killer deal!

snellemin 09.02.2009 06:39 PM

I sold some Mamba Max's, but never quarks. Hacker's are my favorite motors for what I do.

And the funny thing, is that the Rijsttafel dude lives in Houston.

Hmmm.. ok.

I've got an C50-Maxx 14.4V lying around here. (3600kv) bought it for 60 bucks including shipping, that's 40 euro. Also a good deal if you ask me, they cost here 225 euro (!) new.
I still have to try that motor, it's only laying around here...

snellemin 09.02.2009 06:46 PM

40 Euro's for that Hacker is not a bad deal at all. I've paid more for mine. It's a fun motor for a Rustler or CRT.5.

Rustler? :oh: I'm running my Rustler VXL now with stock Velineon 3500kv motor with a Quark Airmaster 125B on 3S 5000mAh 20C LiPo. I never drove WOT with it, it's damn too fast! I can't even imagine 100kv more + probably more torque because of bigger diameter of the Hacker motor.
Maybe a stupid question but, do you know if the stock motor screws from the Rustler fit on the Hacker, without touching the windings? (I looked at it once, but I think the screws are 1mm to long, but I'm not sure)

EDIT: Did you ever ran 4S on your Hacker C50-Maxx 14.4V? 4S = 14.8V, so I'm not sure if the motor will like it?

Rivermaxx 09.03.2009 09:15 PM

I have that same hyper7 like new I want to do that conversion. I plan on giving it to my son afterwards.
