Has this happend to you!

I have a couple of projects going.

1. mbx-5 conversion to a road car ( already BL )
2. mbx-5T nitro to BL conversion
3. Ofna Ravenger...already converted..just going through it

How many of you have placed an order w/say...AMain for example and 15 mins. after placing an order, you discover after working on your truck more, that there is something you need and don't have.

This has happened to me twice this week...Or realized after placing the order you forgot to add something to your cart even though you wrote down what you needed!

BL_RV0 09.08.2009 10:18 PM

Yep. Many times.

BrianG 09.08.2009 10:45 PM

Or better yet, go to an online store for a certain item, get caught up browsing around and adding stuff to the cart, and end up forgetting the single thing you went there for in the first place!

_paralyzed_ 09.08.2009 11:14 PM

The only law I seem to abide by is Murphy's.:oh:

Unsullied_Spy 09.08.2009 11:21 PM

I do that with every order I make. I started writing everything down and it helps but, without fail, I always forget 1 thing and I'm too frugal to pay another $5-$8 to ship 1 item so I have to order everything I could possibly need for my other RCs to make it worth my while.

Having just 3 works-in-progress would make this a little more difficult though. I've got a dozen or so RCs in total so I'm always in need of parts.

What's_nitro? 09.08.2009 11:32 PM

Allllllll the time man.... :grrrrrr:  I don't want to think about how much money I've wasted on shipping! :surprised:

jayjay283 09.08.2009 11:41 PM

thats why I love Mike though, You order all your stuff then "crap I forgot a spur". He realizes you screwed up and 2 orders in a row, puts it all in 1 box and no 2nd shipping. good man. Not amain I get jacked everytime. Mostly my fault but why no 20 minute appeal

jhautz 09.08.2009 11:47 PM

If you call a-main they will add stuff to your order and ship it with the first order. Ive done it more than once.

jayjay283 09.08.2009 11:58 PM

Probably true but its like calling the bank and asking why they charged you $35 for a $7 overdraft. Its nice to know people like RCM aren't going to ruin you for a nickle

BP-Revo 09.09.2009 12:04 AM

Mike = #1

nuff said.

And yeah, that's happened to me a ton of times. Royal pain my ass...

End up going down to the LHS and hocking up $6 for a $2 part since it ends up the same with shipping.

lincpimp 09.09.2009 12:06 AM

My problem is that I will get a project started, order what I need and then move on to another project before the parts arrive for the 1st... I have stuff that has been sitting for more than a year cause of this. If I could get the parts locally I would never have to bounce around with 10 different projects like I do...

Good thing is I have ac in the hobby room again! So maybe I can finish some of the stuff that I need to do...

Whoever packed it probably just didn't notice the buyer/address on both orders (probably had several others in between). He doesn't make money on shipping, and it takes more effort/time to pack two boxes, so I HIGHLY doubt he did it on purpose.

damn man my snowmobile is RC but after seeing that im thinking on trading in my quad for a winter runner. No pics of the lst2...actually if you search threads theres some where I compare it next to my muggy ( project has gone no further) dont see it progressing either.

Same thing happens to me, frequently. you know for an overseas buyer this could be even worse cos the shipping takes longer and costs more.

Later I started to realize the WishList is useful, every time I need something, drop it into the list, when placing next order just click "buy all" button.

Thats why it's great to have a friend that owns a HOBBY SHOP .

Bondonutz 09.09.2009 12:30 PM

Getting stuff cheaper doesn't help the fact of forgetting the critual part needed to finish a build and more wait time.
