Ya.... ok but remember im new yo. I have no idea wats shit and wats good im looking for someone to tell me wat truck is a good choice for me.

Mike.L 02.16.2006 10:31 AM

yes your a begginer....but choose 2 trucks and ask us to compare it and well tell you what you need to have a great begginer truck

Dom.S 02.16.2006 10:35 AM

I think i rather just go with a truck that a pro tells me to choose.... for a beginner truck instead of wasting time looking for trucks.... u know wat im sayin?

Mike.L 02.16.2006 10:36 AM

ya i belive you ill show you some trucks you can choose from

Sylvester 02.16.2006 10:39 AM

Hi dom.s, Id say for the best "beginner" truck would be a electric, you can ask ANYONE on this forum, even the all mighty Mike Cronin, Nitro is just too much of a hassle for begginer people.

If you ever plan on getting the G2R Conversion and if you have a problem putting it together, i would be gladly to help you build it, if you want, i could build the whole thing!! -- for a small fee that is:D

Dom.S 02.16.2006 10:42 AM

lol.... thanks for the help but goin back to the ask any1 on this forum id like to see wat Mike.L says about this since hes the only 1 other than u whose posted so far.

In ur opinion sylvester and Mike.L wats a better truck for me electric or nitro? I want to get this crap over with and to know wat truck im gettin so i can start puttin money into it instead of wasting it on other stuff:D

Sylvester 02.16.2006 10:58 AM

Electric all the way! And once you get better, BL could be in your future!

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:00 AM

alright that sounds great but Mike wat do u say? Electric or nitro judging by ur pic i think ur nitro right?

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:09 AM

get a electric truck its ither the stock e-maxx or you immeadiatly get the revo conversion

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:11 AM

k thanks guys..... now im askin for price and speed difference. And if its durable and i need honest opinions not wat i read off some site.:D

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:17 AM

Ive crashed into a cement wall over 5 times near full speed, no damage watsoever.

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:18 AM

with the revo conversion or the emaxx?

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:21 AM

Revo conversion. with the emaxx, i went off a little jump and bent a shock tower at instant:@

Dafni 02.16.2006 11:21 AM

Hi Dom, welcome to the forum.
Maybe you want to browse www.traxxas.com

I would also suggest an electric.

I think the stampede would be a nice beginner truck.

An important question is: how much do you want to spend? And keep in mind you'll also need a charger and batteries.

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:26 AM

its true the revo is more durrable
buy if you get the conversion its 550$$
you still need some good batteries 100$ or so
you still need a motor ither you go brushless right away or u get the titans
brushlees with controller300$ or so
titans 250$ or so
you still need a reciver with a remote 150$
you still need a sterring servo 80$ and
tires 40$
so its ither a complete e-maxx for 350$
or a complete revo conversion

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:29 AM

dafni how much is a stampede and how fast does it go?..... also how much $ does it cost altogether, includin the batteries and charger??

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:29 AM

so the total cost it arround a good 1000$ dollars
were in canada so thats american prices REMEMBER!
you can really do up an e-maxx for that money
so its really up to durrablility
ovioulsy revo beats the e-maxx in that so revo wins

Mike.L , this is very innacurate, the titans DO NOT cost 250, the receiver he can get off me, for 40 $, steering servo does not have to be 80$, he can get a pretty good one for 30-40$.

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:34 AM

so lets tally up
_______________________
e-maxx revo
durrablility 0 1
speed/brushless 1 1
same motor
looks 0 1

total : 3 (revo)
total : 1 (e-maxx)

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:34 AM

And mike.l, with the emaxx, with the left over money after buying it stock, you wont be able to get enough parts for it to even be close enough in durability to a g2r revo.

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:35 AM

Who said my stuff is garbage?

Dafni 02.16.2006 11:36 AM

I dunno about speed and cost of a stock stampede, check mikes store, I guess he has rtr 'pedes.

I know this is a fun and inexpensive RC, a nice way to start. Have you checked the traxxas link?

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:37 AM

how does sylvester have garbage stuff if he has a revo conersion and his parts r good? i dont know where u come offn sayin his stuff is garbage:s

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:37 AM

revo is expensive but it will win in the long run now dom its up to you
how mutch are u going to spend:013:

Dafni 02.16.2006 11:38 AM

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:38 AM

Mike, in the longrun , dom.s will have alot more fun, and thats what this hobby is all about!

Dom.S 02.16.2006 11:39 AM

alright if the truck is worth the price i will buy it. I dont want to get ripped.

Sylvester 02.16.2006 11:40 AM

Some servos are pretty good for less than 50, so now your roghly judging on prices. Not all more expensive things are better.

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:40 AM

so dom how mutch you going to spend
?

Mike.L 02.16.2006 11:45 AM

so know that you know when are u going to get the revo?
