Studen weilds sword and cuts down burglar
http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/09/15/...ef=mpstoryview
All I have to say is http://i100.photobucket.com/albums/m...aneklapwe0.gif I applaud this man. I truly believe that once you unlawfully step into someones house with mal intent of either stealing, hurting or destroying, your rights, priviledges and life are automatically forfeited. And if you guys turn another one of my threads into a political poop throwing fest, im gonna be very upset with you. |
Kick ass!!!
You can use whatever item you have near you as a weapon once they come inside your house. |
Awsome, went Kill Bill on him. Wow a Samurai sword used that's something you don't see everyday.
Jeff |
Just make sure you "seal the deal" so to speak. Hard for dead guys to sue you. It has happened, someone breaks into a house, hurts themselves and sues the homeowner's insurance... And wins... Make me want to throw hot coffee all over myself when I drive a golf ball into a tree that comes back and hit me in the head. That way I can sue starbucks and myself!
|
will samurai swords be banned from college campuses now? if so, they should name the rule after this guy
|
Doesn't matter he was at his House in the garage.
Jeff |
Why would you lunge at someone who is holding a sword? I guess he was feeling lucky...
|
hahaha

thats awesome at first i thought it read the severed his left hand and UPPER body and i was thinking DAMN he is a BAD man with a sword....
|
Just because he was a student doesn't have anything with what he does outside of school. Not going to get into a lawsuit descussion on this one.

here in my town, some kids broke into a house. The home owner chased the kids down in his car and one of them got hurt by falling (completely unrelated to the guy riving) and the guy got charged for chasing minors or something stupid like that.....:no:
on another note, i can legally shoot/defend/go jackie chan on anyone on my property after asking them verbally to leave 3 times.... |

That's awesome!
I hope they don't press charges on him. The guy got out of jail a few days ago and was back at it...and he lunged at them, so he deserved it. |
hardcore

Thats definitely something you don't hear everyday. I wonder if he went buy that sword after Monday's burglary? if so, weird weapon of choice... but no waiting period.
Perp was a grade A prisoner, just release from prison.... |
Good for that Guy !!!!!! One less scum bag on the streets and in the penial system sucking up the tax dollars.
Heres my home defense firearm 12 gauge 8 shot semi auto http://www.mossberg.com/products/def...ction=products http://i88.photobucket.com/albums/k1...0-930SPX-1.jpg The coroner will need a dust pan and a shop vac to clean pick up the perp. |
I only have an 870 Rem in 20 gauge, so it's either the Keltec or my Dan Wesson .357, but in a pinch I have a Marlin Model 60 with the 18 shot tubular mag. A lot like 2 rounds of double 0 buckshot, but I have to pull the trigger a little more. Or I could use the Mark II Target with comp. I actually did really well at an IDPA match course.

I've got this on layaway at my local store. Good....bad... I'm the one with the gun

Sad thing is in the UK the student would be arrested and charged with murder, and the crim would be treated like a victim (of society) and awarded damages... if he'd have lived- see: Tony Martin, farmer.

Jeff i have the same shotgun, it was my dads . I have two KUNG FU cats for home defense . |

My Fat cat would just want the home invader to give him treats. You going to Lake Park for the club race Saturday ? |
Quote:
I use it to shoot skeet or at the gun range at paper targets . No funds to go racing . Maybe we can go to the gun range sometime . |
If my buddy's schedual will not allow him to run his buggy at B&B Sat I'll going to Lake Park to Spectate.
I enjoy the range a lot but would rather hang onto my ammo, I have zero target rounds or cheap stuff to burn up. Running RC's is always high on the list to do's though ? |

You guys and your guns... You'll never get away with it if the neighbors hear you!
I'd use this: http://www.blowgunsnw.com/wr4d.jpg Got it for $20 from Cabelas a few years ago. Soo much fun to go hunt squirrels out back! |
Hows the recoil on that bazooka ?
|
Not bad at all.... Even with the 1/2" steel ammo.

I actually got mine from my Grandfather when he passed. It was a Dove and Quail gun so it's got a modified choke. I have taken it skeet shooting and it's pretty good for that too. I thought about changing barrels, but a 20 ga just isn't enough power IMO, unless I use slugs. It's way too long to swing around quickly in tight quarters. I have 2 Jack Russel Terriers (well 1 is the daughter and the father was a Pomeranian) and Yap you wouldn't believe. In the house we used to live in there were 2 home invasions. In the new house I installed a drop in anchor that I just drop a 3/4" diameter 6" long bar in the hole and if the door is kicked in it will stop the door from opening more than 6", gives you enough time to get your "tools". Plus the alarm since I travel quite a bit. I don't know how many of you guys have taken a girl shooting but in my experience they have done better than my male friends. Kinda funny to see my Sister outshoot my friend Chuck, I still give him crap about that. Jeff That wrist rocket is cool I gotta get one of them. We used to hunt Rabbits with them at a friends house, too many houses to be using a .22 or shotgun, we didn't even have to be told by an adult, we just knew. Other friends houses I would use a .22 and my friends always used shotguns. I didn't like picking pellets thats why I used a .22 (plus I am not a bad shot) ;-) |

I got my gun when my dad passed . My 870 has the stock choke on it . I've shot slugs before at the gun range . But there not cheap . |
It is a very serious thing to take a persons life. You take everything a person had and everything a person will ever have once you kill them. I do agree the student have every right to defend his home. If they don’t press charges on him (I don’t think they should) his thought and feeling may get to him
P.S I have had a concealed weapons permit for the past 6 years and carry a gun almost every day. |
At least in SD, if there are more then 5 native americans on your property you can shoot them. Also, if there are 3 or more native americans walking down the street they are considered a war party and you can shoot them also. Me an a few partially native american friends joke about this all the time.
btw SD doesn't really have too many indians; at least not on the east side. And we don't ride buffalos or sleep in tepees either.. |
Absolutly it is a VERY serious thing, I would never want to be in this sitsu. It IS a very difficult thing to carry around with you for the rest of your life no matter what the circumstances. But once you come into anothers house you lose ALL your rights as far as I am concerned. I don't care if you are a cat burglar. I have no idea what your intentions are and my Wife and Daughter are my only concern. Everything else will be dealt with later. This is something I do take very seriously, and responsibly. It may sound like I walk around my house with a carbine slung over my shoulder. I don't but I am prepared to take the action if needed.
Jeff |
Well said J57ltr I too agree that I will do anything to protect my wife, kids, parents siblings ect.
I just get sick of people thinking that’s it’s no big deal to kill some (even if they are a bad guy). It will and does f**K with a person for a long time |
Loaded Win Defender, pistol gripped 12ga, 5 shots, 00 buck will greet you if you make the mistake of trying to rob my house. No questions asked!
