New Traxxas vehicle!!

Hey guys just went on theTraxxas website, check it out. Any thoughts?

Snipin_Willy 10.02.2009 07:45 PM

Electric 4-tec :P
4wd electric slash (e-slayer)
Nitro slash (FTL)
I would like to see a 1/8 scale, but I know those chances are slim to none.

SpEEdyBL 10.02.2009 07:46 PM

They hit the nail on the head if it is a 1/8 e-buggy.

Metallover 10.02.2009 07:49 PM

Yeah they don't even have an 8th scale buggy. Could very well be a buggy, nitro or electric.

Snipin_Willy 10.02.2009 07:51 PM

According to their advertising it's:
1. It's going to be offroad
2. It's invisable (Kinda hard to see which direction it's pointed in if you ask me)
3. Someone asked for it.

emaxx 101 10.02.2009 07:53 PM

Hmmmmm maybe a nitro and electric car? Yeah an 1/8th scale buggy would be great

Wait. Letz re-think number #3. I saw some people on the traxxas forums saying that it's not actually what someone asked for. I can't seem to understand where the "asking" happened.

Bondonutz 10.02.2009 09:03 PM

The asking is when everyone asked that The TRX forum Mods to not be douches ?

Snipin_Willy 10.02.2009 09:06 PM

lol:
"You asked for it,"..."now we're going to give you another car off the revo platform"?

Not that there is anything wrong with the revo platform, but it would be nice to see traxxas step into the big boy race game.

emaxx 101 10.02.2009 09:11 PM

^^^ +1!

Kcaz25 10.02.2009 11:01 PM

I really like the video! Well done! People have been asking for all the above mentioned as well as a new big scale gas buggy.

I bet its a 1/8 ebuggy. Anyway... I think I might see the tip of a rear wing at 10 seconds.

emaxx 101 10.03.2009 01:30 AM

Did a little research and got some tips. From what i hear it is most likley a slash vxl or a 1/16 E-jato

big greg 10.03.2009 03:39 AM

hopefully its not an 1/8 buggy, what a disaster that would be lol

I had a thread asking for an Ejato (prefer 1/10), many others have asked for this as well i think. I was looking hard at a mini Erevo or joining a slash and a stampede for a stampede evo (long chassis and bellcranks, Perfect:mdr:) but those plans may have been shelved if this is an Ejato. We need a fingers crossed smiley:mdr:

nitrostarter 10.03.2009 09:27 AM

I'll be a 1/8 buggy based on the Revo platform...

Snipin_Willy 10.03.2009 10:00 AM

They haven't reworked the T-maxx in a while, it could be possible they are making a 1/8 Maxx? Big block motor, 17mm hubs, longer chassis? Would be a shame if it was and nobody here didn't convert one.

brushlessboy16 10.03.2009 10:10 AM

Heres my shot in the dark...

Could traxxas actually have a new design.

whitrzac 10.03.2009 10:38 AM

if its an e-jato, I hope they beefed up the tranny....

redshift 10.03.2009 11:30 AM

Hows about ALL these companies stop playing the suspense game, sorry I'm not on the edge of my chair.

Ok I'll play. It'll be a quadruple nitro using all existing parts, just like Taco bell has about four basic ingredients and keeps finding 'exciting' new combinations for them...

ROLL EYES.

... don't know if I should laugh, or cry.

hootie7159 10.03.2009 11:53 AM

weak!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hootie7159 10.03.2009 12:31 PM

did i say weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkk!!! !!!!!!!.....as if they didnt realize that making your e-maxx brushless didnt exist......i wonder what esc/motor they're gonna use to make it VXL???...probably not the MMM/CC NEU combo.....maybe a NEW esc/motor form traxxas...????....:/

whitrzac 10.03.2009 12:34 PM

NO!!! the 3908## is over 2 years old!!! they made it up for the prototype of the duel VXL maxx!!!

Bondonutz 10.03.2009 12:34 PM

VXL Emaxx ?

Why would they use a VXL system and not the Castle ???????

nevermind....

emaxx 101 10.03.2009 01:54 PM

Hmmm maybe a new 1/8 vxl motor? Or traxxas is tricking everyone to think it's a vxl emaxx.

JoFreak 10.03.2009 02:23 PM

something we asked for?

-proper diffs?

But since lately every manufacturer seams to release 1/8th e-buggys I wouldn't be too suprised if traxxas did exactly the same thing.
Have to agree with redshifts taco bell theory as well and hope it's not again a new revo-version of something!
The revo is nice but we allready got 5 (or more?) cars based on that one...

Nard Cox 10.03.2009 02:29 PM

1/8 eBuggy to compete with the HPI Vorza Flux.

TexasSP 10.03.2009 03:58 PM

Whatever it is I have this prediction.

Some people will absolutely love it and not shut up about it's praises.

Some people will absolutely hate it and not shut up bashing it.

Some people will be indifferent.

Some will bash it at first then like it.

Some people will like it at first then bash it.

Some people will complain about how Traxxas never does anything truly different and/or new.

As for me I will wait and see. If it's something I like great. If it's something I hate oh well.

suicideneil 10.03.2009 05:46 PM

Heh heh heh...

$10 its either an e-slayer, or a 1/8 buggy of some sort based off a pre-existing chassis & suspension. Either way, I'll probably say something like "hmm, thats interesting..." and quickly loose interest thereafter.

timaneli 10.03.2009 06:01 PM

i think will be a 1/8 buggy baes on the slayer since many people all over the world are converting these and are entering the 1/8 electric scale.
but one thing you guy´s can bet.
if it is a new car will be different from all toher thing of other brands..
traxxas ike to be different making cars so expect that on thsi new car!!
and if it is what people is asking for is certnaily a 1/8 buggy

regards

I guess we and Hootie only caught that, were special !

redshift 10.03.2009 07:17 PM

Hehe hootie did as well.. focus people!

Eyes toward the front

mikey09120 10.03.2009 07:37 PM

they flashed this picture in the movie at 0:10

http://img3.imageshack.us/img3/6797/traxxas.jpg

and either its dejavu or not but i recall the VXL e-maxx being on towers site for quite some time. since about a year ago there was hype over at the traxxas forums. so that rules out the vxl e-maxx
i personally think its an e-revo chassis with slayer suspension. but im hoping for a 1/8 buggy or truggy

JThiessen 10.03.2009 07:48 PM

yaaawwnnnnn.......zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz zz

BL_RV0 10.03.2009 07:56 PM

VXL emaxx... if that's what it is, I lost the tidbit of respect I had for traxxas...

emaxx 101 10.03.2009 08:07 PM

Wait, an e-slayer? Then what would be the point of a slash?

completely different platforms. an e-slayer would be longer, brushless, 4wd, rocker suspension, etc.
