R/C art car

my daily driver. Honda Civic.
I am working on a replica body for my brushless rustler.
a few things left to do, like ez-off strip the wheels and RIT dye them ether black or the pro-line bright yellow.

i clicked the address you posted above and both work

BrianG 10.05.2009 11:01 AM

Weird. I get the red X in IE8, and the following message in FF: "The image “http://i258.photobucket.com/albums/h...ts1.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors."

schofield 10.05.2009 11:10 AM

they were CMYK, so i changed them to RGB that might help

BrianG 10.05.2009 11:27 AM

Yep, that helps! I wonder why some could see them and I couldn't? Oh well.

nitrostarter 10.05.2009 11:28 AM

I'm using Google Chrome if that makes a difference...

Freezebyte 10.05.2009 12:14 PM

Strange, I've never heard of a BMW Civic. You better have a turbo or something in that thing or you're gonna have your butt handed to you in a race.

jayjay283 10.05.2009 03:35 PM

my 2 cents is you need some rims on that bastid. it looks like a gimp pony with stickers. a nice set of rims.. discout tires is having a rim $ tire sale, get hooked up for about $600.. no I dont work there, just was reading car and driver while pooping and saw an ad

yes i do need rims, but they need to look plastic. stripping and RIT dye the plastic ones.

its supposed to be a R/C, not a tunner.

Bondonutz 10.05.2009 03:42 PM

Get a new door and put the hinges on the outside so you can just tap the pins out rather than destroy it ?

schofield 10.05.2009 03:45 PM

its a BMW for the sake of ART

Bondonutz 10.05.2009 04:25 PM

How is a BMW sticker on a Honda art ?

I see you gave the Toyota peircings on the grill

BrianG 10.05.2009 04:39 PM

OK, I get where you are coming from now. The first pics looked like kids who try to make their puny cars into something that looks "cool"; you know, huge spoilers, NOS stickers, fart cans, etc. The second pic is definitely an art car. Not exactly my cup of tea, but I'm not exactly artistic either. Art and I don't get along too well; we acknowledge each other's existence and give a polite nod in passing, but we just never understand each other. So FWIW, based on my non-artistic eye, good job.

there not BMW stickers, they are actually emblems off a real BWM. The art part is the "R/C" thing. blue antenna with wire sticking out, large proline stickers that come with the clear shell. The body posts with clips, pin retainers and clip pulls.
so on and so forth

I wasn't questioning all the RC stuff cause that all looks cool and is definitely original, my question pertained to the BMW "emblem" only

If you have a Emaxx and you put A Losi LST2 sticker on it, it doesn't make a lotta sense to me my feeble non Arted brain. Let alone how that is Art, I just don't understand ?

schofield 10.06.2009 11:30 AM

have you ever put a body on a r/c car before? (i know you have) did you put say for conversation sakes put a lamborghini body on a HPI drifter? the car is not really a lamborghini but you just put a lamborghini body on it. then you change it to a Ford truck, still not a ford or lamborghini. same thing im making a BMW R/C. not a Honda R/C. as for what is art. to me, if it makes you think, either good or bad it has affected you.
