Check out what my neighbor built!

Check this sucker out! This guy lives about a block away from my apts and when I went to take my walk around the park the other day, I saw this parked outside his house! Talk about awesome craftsmen ship and just plain kick ass! I don't know the specs on the vehicle or engine, but I want one!! And im sure it costs alot less then a full sized Batmobile!

pft... amature  i wonder if they knows one of his tires is on backwards.....

looks cool i guess its for halloween or a parade?

Finnster 10.09.2009 06:02 PM

ahahaha Does it have room for the baby seat?

Drive belt looks like it need some serious tightening tho.

Bondonutz 10.09.2009 07:06 PM

Because I'm fat, If I can't fit in it I'm not interested :-(

It is pretty cool though.

zeropointbug 10.09.2009 07:44 PM

Wow, very nice craftsmanship indeed. Although it looked big from the front, after I saw that 1 banger engine...

FastXR 10.09.2009 08:42 PM

Very cool looking!

Modding_out 10.09.2009 09:05 PM

for all you saying the 1 bangers a POS chill.......thats a 13 hp motor and you can mod those babys threw the roof....if it's a 6.5 hp engine which i doubt there is still enough mods parts to make that engine put 20+ hp at the wheels.

Slap a small 30 hp diesel in there and look out

Not sure if that was a joke, but it looks to have a Comet CVT, a smaller version of a snowmobile transmission, which means the thing should be good for some pretty serious speed. And for all the metal work, it doesn't look that heavy to me. Only real drawbacks I see are a large turning radius due to the minimal steering movement, and I could see things getting ugly in a crash of any kind, might be a good idea to have a kevlar suit on, lest the driver be impaled or otherwise maimed... hope it has good brakes!

Some nice fab work there.

JThiessen 10.09.2009 10:56 PM

Gotta give it to him -- creative.
Freeze - you need to leave a note on it asking why the tire is backwards!

I bet that thing takes some serious arm strength to turn.

BL_RV0 10.10.2009 08:16 PM

Neat. From one standpoint I can appreciate the attention to detail, but on the other hand I don't like batman.

looks like your standard centrifugal clutch to me.....

Modding_out 10.10.2009 09:46 PM

then you don't know your go cart clutches.......I'd bet my life on it that thats a comet 30 series torque converter

commet torque converters are a type of centrifugal clutch...then again no one said it wasnt a centrifugal....haha im...way too outa it...:eyes:

redshift: what threw me off about yours was calling it a CVT...(constant variable transmission in my dectionary:rules:)

edit:
sorry didnt realize the commet series actually was a CVT....im dumb. ill shit up now lol

redshift 10.10.2009 11:27 PM

Wasn't trying to browbeat you lol.

I'm not gonna ask how you 'shit up' however...

mistercrash 10.10.2009 11:39 PM

looks cool. I am just writing that to edit the stupid thing I wrote before.
