Looks good!

Chassis looks very...naked. Should put the Slashes in their places quite nicely though, I wouldn't mind running a Neu 1506 or 1509 in one if my LHS starts up Short Course racing.

I run a MMM 2650 in my slash- if i get 4wd, watch out lol

That looks very nice. Only thing out of place is that little castle motor...

Not sure why the 6900kv CC motor choice. Seems awfully high! I hope the Traxxas 4x4 slash can keep up!

Looks like a stretched chassis Hyper ste. Should be very light. I run a 1509 on 2s in my hyper ste and it does very well, I can imagine a combo like that, maybe lower kv on 3s would be very good in this corr truck. Looks like a contender to the 4wd slash... I have a feeling the slash may be a bit stronger in the suspension dept...

yup my 9L, spare MMM, and my new Neu 3s 5000 will have a new home.

I suppose me buying one would depend greatly on if they're going to make a 4wd SC class here in Tulsa area. Would be pointless otherwise. 1/8 scale is near dead in the area. Biggest class has been the stock slash class. I can only hope that this ARTR comes close to the price point of the Mini-STe. That would...rock.

I have a feeling this will be my next RC. Any ideas on a release date yet?

EDIT: Just looked at the link. Really dislike the 90% pre-assembled statement. I want to build it myself. Not that it will stop me from getting one, but a bit disappointing

I'm tryin to peek behind the wheels...figure out if it's a captured end or PBS for the linkage.

I'm thinking it's gonna be a stronger contender than the 4X4 slash. The suspension settings offer more adjustment than the stock slash.

Another plus for this one is the fact that there's no shaft (slash 4x4) that might mess up the diffs on hard impacts or subterranean exploration attempts.

Sorely tempted to pick this one up.

You could take it apart and re-assemble it... Just set aside a few extra hours. :lol:

At least I know my competition now... Am planning on stretching my STe, and adding the bumpers from this truck. Just an FYI, Slash rear wheels all around on the STe give it the perfect track width to fit under a Slash body. I've got a set of Proline 2.2 Slash rear beadlocks already.

Trust me, I've thought about doing that before, but it's just not the same!

I loved Legos when I was a kid (still think they are the best toy for kids) and I think that bleeds through even now. RC is just an adult version of Legos for me, building different things to play with. I never would have wanted a Lego kit that you bought already assembled. Even now I tend to wrench on my vehicles way more than driving them.

Legos were (and are) much easier to disassemble, though. *smashes his creation on the floor* Oops! :smile:

I second that. Now I'm on the fence between the slash and this. I've owened both traxxas and ofna and as long as I've had my hyper ST my e-maxx would have been broken ten times already. But being that it's tenth scale and traxxas makes some pretty studry 1/10th vehicles that's where I'm very Iffy.

shaft is ok, but unless they're running metal diffs, I'd assume it'd be a headache. most especially when the diffs shift from chassis flex.

I stand corrected. they are metal diffs. Looks good...but I'm still a little hesitant. I have a bit of an affinity for traxxas (started out with a Emaxx, Stampede and Rustler) and I would love to add this to my collection. Maybe I will.

and I'll add the OFNA to my jammin collection as well. :yipi:
