New Year's resolutions...

Anyone making any?

Mine is less work & more RC!...work always gets in the way!

ANGRY-ALIEN 12.23.2009 05:57 PM

Mine is, no New Year's Resolutions... I'm sure I'll be able to keep that promise.

jokerjustin 12.23.2009 06:03 PM

ha mines to do better in school this semseter... i slacked it big time i wanna bump my current 2.8 gpa to a 3.5

junkman 12.23.2009 06:56 PM

Mines get out of the hobby room and piddling with r/c so much, and work on some 1:1 projects in the garage!

Metallover 12.23.2009 07:22 PM

Mine is to gain weight.

kraegar 12.23.2009 10:14 PM

I started mine on November 17th, so a little early.
Gonna lose 48 lbs, 25 gone so far!

And I want to actually do something with my RC's this year. They mostly gathered dust this last year.

Freezebyte 12.24.2009 12:53 AM

I never keep em, so I don't make any

BP-Revo 12.24.2009 02:31 AM

My goal is to lose weight and do better in school. I was aiming for a 4.0 but fell short with a 3.5.

I also want to run my RC's more...I haven't touched them in far too long.

My goal is to cut back my RC spending...ALOT!!!! I kept track for 2009 and after I place my last order of the year I will be at $2900.00( give or take $50, rounded everything to 5s to keep it simple) My goal for 2010 is to keep it under $1200

coolhandcountry 12.25.2009 09:59 AM

This sums up what I think about 'New Years Resolutions'... "A New Year's resolution is something that goes in one Year and out the other."

My two resolutions were to get back into a reasonable jogging routine. I kind of fell out after it started to get really cold around here. Not usually a problem but boy this year I became a big baby.

The second was the most important one, and that is to get my wifes ulcerative colitis under control. We are going to get her into see another GI doctor to see if a second opinion may be key. I don't like pumping her with meds, there has to be a easier, better way.

Anyway that is pretty much all I want to accomplish this year. Not much huh? Sorry no RC related resolutions, but I got to do what I got to do.

Bondonutz 01.03.2011 12:44 PM

My resolution for last year came up pretty dang short, This year must be different due to health reasons.

George16 01.04.2011 12:06 AM

No new year's resolution for me.

DrKnow65 01.04.2011 12:19 AM

I resolve to persue the completion of any unfinished hobby items. I'm tired of seeing my worksop/ study idle and cluttered.

I work too hard not to enjoy my free time.

Enjoy your r/c s Jeff ..I'm not your best bud, but I kinda know what your dealing with buddy..

My resolution is to stop eating so much fast food. I have no problem getting it once in awhile, but I was at the point of eating it almost every day. I don't have a weight problem or anything, it's just terrible, unhealthy food (at least the stuff I like to get.) In a similar vein, I'm also trying to cut down on the amount of meat in my diet in general. Been doing some reading and watching a few documentaries about livestock production and horrible barely describes most of the practices involved.

Finally, I have my standard yearly quit smoking attempt. So far I'm down to 1-2 a day, and shooting for 0 starting next week. The e-cig has been a big help (I know it's still nicotine and no good for you, but it's the lesser of the evils, and helps me much more than gum or patches.)

As you see I try to have multiple resolutions, that way I'm more likely to succeed with one of them, LOL. Strength in numbers!

gixxer 01.05.2011 04:07 AM

never really done this resolution thing, but I think this year I have to lose weight. think I was in denile but the last 10 lbs have been very noticable. Now to me its offical I am fat.

Resolutions

Personally I feel that New Years Resolutions are a waste of time. I truly feel for some of you trying to quit smoking, or losing weight, or whatever. I learned a long time ago that we have a personal responsibility to ourselves to wake up every single day and vow to find some small way to improve who we are and how we deal with life in general.

Addictions are a tough thing for anyone to deal with and no one else can truly understand your pain, but if you know its bad for you stop making excuses and let it go. smoking is financially wasteful, hygenically discusting, and it speeds up your death. Knowledge is power. The more knowledge you achieve the more power you acquire. Live that perspective and you will have the life you wish. Life is too short to waste one minute of it doing things that we know are destructive to our lives. Commitment is the key to changing anything about our lives. Good luck to all of you with your quest.
