There are some wideners around. Even Proline makes a widener, and it converts your 19mm to 23mm hex. Check the PL site.

Or, if you can find a way to make your buggy hexes 14mm, you could try some offset maxx wheels. But I would go for the PL wideners

Thanks dafni, what is the difference of "offset wheel" to standard wheel?
And what body mount i can use?

Dafni 03.14.2006 09:45 AM

Offset wheels are "deeper". They make your truck wider. And more stable. But they take away a bit of steering response.

Don't know about body mount, sorry.

ah ok i understand, thanks very much :)

i would be weary of the adapters like those because they will put ALOT of preasure on the bearings and will cause bearing failure.

Sylvester 03.14.2006 06:52 PM

Yea, what squee said, and with that in mind, id try the LIGHTEST tire/wheel combination to try to keep power robbing friction to a less.

I carry maximizer adapters that allow maxx sized wheels on the 1/8 buggies. They seem to be pretty good, but any widener like this does put additional stress on the bearings.

MetalMan 03.14.2006 11:57 PM

I have bought some Imex Romulin wheels that use standard Maxx-size tires, and are offset with a 17mm hex. These have been used on my 1/8 buggy, and work great (but would work better if I only had a 10t pinion!)

Thanks boys, also I thought that the spacers they pushed too much to the bearings,I will try of a wheel that used standard maxx tires with offset and hex 17mm

Heck, Dafni, I don't recall a post from ANY of the experienced people here that didn't recommend putting additional stress on an R/C vehicle. That's what this whole community is about :027:

For example, if you don't want to put stress on an E-Maxx the best thing to do is keep it stock and run cheap 6-cell battery packs, but I don't think anyone here would advise doing that! :003:
