Grampa Jerry, closer to death

I don't even know how he types, old people have arthritis don't they:neutral:

:party::party:HAPPY BIRTHDAY JERRY2KONE!!!:party::party:

Get some "You" time with your r/c's, you deserve it

JERRY2KONE 02.07.2010 09:39 AM

Old??????????????

Who you calling old??? Thank you I had a very nice day here in Seoul, Korea. We started the day off with All you can eat Brunch at the Dragon HIll Lodge, then bowling with the kids, and finally filet mignon & shrimp dinner to round out the evening. Now its time to hit the hay for the SuperBowl in the morning. Most of the military and Gov workers have the day off for the game. And yes I do have two grandkids about 5 years old.

I have received more than a dozen well wishes today from R/C sites around the world. RCM & UE are my staple R/C sites. I love the atmosphere within, and the Peeps are pretty great to. I love being a part of this team.

PS: I'm hoping for one of those RCM SuperMaxx center diff/motor mounts for my birthday gift....

Happy Birthday Jerry! :party:

I remember on my birthday, I went out with family and friends, came back, and my entire email inbox was full of Happy Birthday's from all my RC sites.

Yeah, I'm registered to that many.. :yes:

Anyways, hope you had an awesome birthday! :party:

Thanks for the well wishes Magman. Nothing special here. Just trying to last until I am about 90 or 100. My wife's father just turned 97. That should give me another 40 or so years to play with my R/C toys. It's just nice to have a place like RCM & UE to share our milestones, and celebrations throughout the years. RCM is my internet forum home. I hope everyone has as much fun in here as I do chatting, joking, and sharing info with R/C friends.

I agree completely...and I hope to live to be 90+ and still be playing as well!

George16 02.07.2010 11:23 PM

Happy birthday Jerry.

To reach 90+, you have to eat healthy (minimum red meat, no soda etc) :).

JERRY2KONE 02.07.2010 11:57 PM

Screw that.

Screw that crap. I don't and have never smoked, and we rarely drink alcohol and that is about as far as I am willing to sacrifice. About the only real bad habit I have is biting my nails, but I have been working on that. Trust me the foods we cook and serve in our house are extremely good and also very healthy, but our lives are about comfort and living well. I do drink soda pop but hardly more than one or two a day. Plus I still force myself to down at least one or two 16oz bottles of spring water every day to keep the kidneys clean and working well. My wieght is proportional so I am doing fine in that area (6" - 185lbs). I do lack on the exercise area somewhat, but I am not doing too bad for 51. Unless I run into a problem like diebeties or something along those lines I am not giving up $h1t. I have sex several times a week, which Dr. Oz says leads to a long and healthy life. We never argue over anything, and in fact the only stresses we have are 11, 13, & 14 now. They challenge us on every turn, but we team up on them, and I refuse to be beaten by a child of any age. Stength in numbers stratagy. Together we're strong, devided we fall. So 90 here I come.

PS: and thanks Lito. I'm 51 and still going strong.

I'm glad things are going well for but there was just a little too much information in that last post of yours Jerry. I enjoyed reading it up till the point you mentioned old people and sex. :gasp::na:

Must have been quite a day with the cd mount and super bowl on your b'day. Happy b'day by the way.

Why do they call it Super Bowl anyway? I here on tv etc... 'going out to play ball', where does the bowl come in to it?

lutach 02.08.2010 02:15 PM

Happy B-Day.:party::party:

Hope the day treated you well Jerry. And hope you got some b-day nookie!

As far as older people still doing it, I hope so, cause I would hate to be that age and not getting any...

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 06:17 PM

You bet ya James. I figure to be getting my dew until my body is no longer capable of doing so. Hopefully that will be many mnay years from now. It gets better as you get older thats for sure. I guess you are thankful to still be diong it after 50.:lol::party:

Why do they call it Super Bowl anyway? Because it is usually played in a bowl. That is what they started calling the huge stadiums many years ago, because they look like great big bowls.:whistle:

There may be a bit of jealousy there, but I am a fair man and try to spread myself evenly where it is needed. LIFE IS GOOD.

You have to find a happy balance with someone who wants the same things you do in life. That is our problem as human beings. We rush into Marriage too quickly and end up finding out the hard way that the person we chose is not the best match for us. I did it twice before, and found out that it was a mistake plain and simple. Opposites attract is true, but opposites will eventually move away from each other. You cannot stop Nature. We need to be more exacting about searching and finding the right match for us. If you find that you are making excuses for or accepting flaws just to conform and not rock the boat, than you are making a big mistake. We can all find it within ourselves not to fight over the little things and even the big things if you work on your own self control. It is so much easier to talk through the issues and find peaceful resolutions to fix the problems. Especially if it is with someone you claim to love and want to spend the rest of your life with. Now I understand why OUR parents always tried to tell us to wait until you have had the time to experience life and gain some inner knowledge that will help us make better choices. It is the easiest way to live, but we get hastey and just cannot wait to live that dream.

If you have to beg and/or coax someone to get busy, then there are other issues that need to be worked out preventing them from moving forward. Work out your issues and keep playtime seperate. Never use one to control the other or it will cause even bigger problems. We can only control one side of the equasion, and that is ourselves. If the other side is not willing, then you are wasting your time. TIME is much too precious to waste on an unwilling partner.

me and the girly (of 5 years now) dont have any problems other than i like to pester her when she is watching tv....

Hell yes! I can only tell you what a wife busting her leg does to marital relations. Now I have nothing to do but make nonsense posts on RCM all day.

Oh wait.. you were talking about between your wife and the trucks... ;)

JERRY2KONE 02.08.2010 11:06 PM

Shoot we wold have looked at that as a chance for adventrue trying to find ways around the cast. A broken leg is not a good reason to hold out on the shaky pudding. Been there done that.
