Hallo from germany. My name is Olli, Iīm 32 years old and I work as a CNC Operator (grinding & molding) on family establishment. My english is not perfekt but I hope it adequate.
Here you can see the full story Thread on a german Forum:http://www.rc-monster-trucks.de/incl...0941d2988b0adb Now some pics..... http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BL-LST1.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BL-LST2.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BL-LST3.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BL-LST4.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BL-LST5.jpg some facts: ESC: BK Micro 36/120 Motor: KB45-10XL 1200kv Brushless Inrunner http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/s...idProduct=4936 powerd by 10S A123 LiFePo weigt: 6,5kg (whit Twin Force Wheels) If you have any questions - please ask, Iīm trying to answer olli |
First, WELCOME TO RCMONSTER! Nice looking truck. It looks like you moved the transmission back quite a bit. Also, did you make your own chassis?
Seeing as you use a cnc machine, how many custom parts did you make for this? My one concern would be the batteries sliding out the sides as there is nothing to stop them from sliding. The more I looked at your truck the more I think you did a great job! |
Nice looking truck indeed.
BTW, you might want to shock towers with a few more upper shock adjustments. ;) |
I just looked at the link above in German and WOW...great cnc work! Amazing transformation...well done. By far the best LST I have seen. It mush weigh quite a bit with all the AL

@ magman
I didnīt just move it back I turned the inside from the on side to the other because I want the motor and gearbox in the middle of the chassie. The wheelbase is now 455mm. Much longer so I can fit FG bodys. My Custum Parts are: Alloy Chassie - Prototyp (later I use 6mm Carbon) Alloy Skid Plate Alloy Brackets Alloy Motormount Alloy ESC Plate and some more smaller alloy parts Carbon Tower Carbon Skid/Bulkplates Titanium steering linkage conector Titanium Main Drive Shafts You donīt have to wonder about sliding batteries. This is the first chassie in alloy and the space of the batteries is a littlebit bigger then I first thougt. On the side of the chassie you see 2 holes for the block. The next chassie is bigger. If you want more info lock the pics in the link... thanks - olli |
Hi, welcome to RCM!
I already saw your truck, sometimes I go to rcindependent to watch if there are any updates of your LST  I really like those carbon shocktower, they look awesome! |
thats freaking beautiful! one of the best large scale conversion i've ever seen! welcome to the forum!--josh
|
AMAZING work and a beautiful job !
Why cut corners and install a HC motor rather than a NEU ????? |
:surprised: wow... that's pretty sweet man... I love the CNC work you have done on it... The carbon pieces are well integrated into your design... nice job... and welcome to the forum.
|
Wish I could read German....:eyes:
What brand of bulk heads and tower braces are you running? |

wow that's nice welcome to the forum
|
Wow, I just jizzed in my pants! Nice work man!
|
Wow. I don't know what it is about some of these euro guys and their large scales. But most of them are just amazing like this one. Lots of custom aluminum, carbon, you know all the exotic eye candy that serves a purpose as well. Well done.
|
Beautiful truck and nice machine work!! Nice combination of parts there! Love the wheels and tires.
But I have to agree here: Quote:

Insanely cool, I like everything you've done. That is art that is.

After seeing that my lst2 seems so.....inadequate

@ Bondonutz

Hope you like it! http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST34.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST36.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST32.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST14.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST16.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST18.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST20.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST24.jpg http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...us/BLLST28.jpg hereīs the link too my photohucket folder http://s441.photobucket.com/albums/qq138/subcirus/ |

All i can say is WOW
|
VERY NICE WORK!...that would fit nicely into my collection!:intello:...hey there is a dude standing on your truck!!
|
If you're going to drive it while standing on it - it looks like you'll need stiffer springs
Otherwise - beautiful truck  |
Thats a Hella Skateboard LOL
Very Nice work !! "HC" Hobby City http://www.hobbycity.com/hobbycity/store/uh_index.asp A LOT of members buy Lipos from here. |
Has anyone seen my jaw- it fell off a little while ago & I havent been able to locate it since...
That is without doubt the best LST based truck ever, and definately one of the best looking electric MTs ever too; its getting a place in my 'World's Coolest' gallery when I get home  |
Ahhh...the beauty of having your own CNC mill. I've been searching for my first one....no luck for my budget yet, but patience I hope will win out...
|
Welcome to the fold! Wonderful build you have there! I wld give almost anything to have the ability to do this stuff. I wish there were more roll cages that fit the E-LST conversions. Instead we have always mod one to work!
Since everyone's builds are different, it's too hard to come up with a cage that works for everyone. That is why I'm looking into designing a conversion kit which includes a cage that fits that build style. I don't have a CNC machine, but I have two friends in that line of work. So I'm toying with idea of being the design/sales guy,and having others do the cutting. Yeah...what body are you able to run on that thing? Thanks for sharing! |
thank you for your positiv feedback.
@ jpoprock the FG hummer H2 Body. Today I try to make the first testrun. But after a few minutes at calibrating the sterring the BEC collapse. Itīs the UBEC from Koolflight. I ordered a new. Now whit 42V max. f..k http://i441.photobucket.com/albums/q...s/P1140010.jpg |
Wow, the Koolflight Ubec is ment to be one of the best around- Im impressed & scared in equal measure... :eyes:
|
Righteous build there!
I forgot what Makrolon was, it's just Bayer's tradename for polycarbonate. I wouldn't think 6mm is enough, but it can take your weight no problems obviously... Nice job man  |
And I thought I was cool with having access to a PlasmaCam CNC plasma cutter.....
http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs24/f/20...rky_Sparky.gif I think that this thing is probably one of the coolest RC's I have ever seen, if not the coolest ever. No pre-made parts can ever beat the cool factor of a really bad ass custom piece. Great job, looking forward to more updates and a video. |
wow impressive....
|
|
:surprised:..... wow that is really nice work...
|
Is that cage just a fit check mockup? Or is this truck not going to see much use? Would look real good as a solid Tig Welded cage.
Lots of work just to machine that. Nice... |
 Nice!!!! may I have more please...
|
wow...that i way too cool...im curious what size is the LST vs a revo?
|
Wow.... Your truck makes me want to get an LST just so I could BEG you to make me some parts out of the transparent materials!!
