Hallo my friend i am desperate I have a very big problem with lehner a 1950, has burnt me microcar the 20120!!!!
I have made a pair of accelerated and...pufff the smoke up oh the controller... unfortunately beyond this the motor seems to be refrained, non spin freely...possible that lehner it has made a motor defective? I wanted to try to open it but I do not succeed to us... Please help meeeee!!!!:035: |
How did this happen? So the motor doesnt spin at all? How long in the run did the controller smoke up? I bet if you send your motor/controller to mike he could find out how or why it happened. Hope this helps.

the motor does not turn free but it seems refrained...for this the regulator is burn
how is opened a lehner? |
What turn is the motor?

8 turn..
help meeee... |
The front endbell is threaded on the Lehner motors. I wouldn't go taking it apart unless you are prepared to lose your warranty. The motors are hand made, and I siuppose it is possible that there was a defect. I would look real close at your setup to make sure something else wasn't the cause. One likely issue is the motor mount screws. The Lehner motors have a very small/short thread on the front endbell, and a screw that is too long will easily damage the windings(which will indeed take out a speed controller).

I mike i control the screw, and is ok, can i send the motor to you?
|
yep. I will be glad to have a look. :)
|
thanks very much mike, please send me a mail whit your adress
|
Just replied to your email, Ettore. :)
|
thanks mike...

That sucks. Sorry to hear the bad luck. I run a 1950 on a 9920 with good luck so far. I like it. Hope it is nothing to major.
|
Do Lehner say what is a safe amount of insertion? i have 2.5mm on my 1950.
|
i dont think so, but that sounds about right, although i think you can get a little more maybe 3 or 3.5.
|
There looks to be only about 2.5mm of thread in there, after that there looks like some kind of gasket/seal or something.i have the motor well supported at the rear so hopefully it should be enough.

The screw is ok boys, the problem is the motor not spin very free, but is "forced"
400$ of regulator.....puff!!! 290 € of motor.........and is not worked I mourn my BK XL :( |

Just a thought, unless you have mechanical problems... Artur |
Yes is possible, the motor infact seems spin like when the 2 cables are touched, less hard, but much similar one...
But i suppose the motor it had a problem, because 2 hour before the controller works fine whit BK 8XL,not as soon as mounted the lehner, two minutes and......puff!!!! |
