Wow, that phone looks awesome. I have an HTC Eris and I love it.
That HD2 looks great, tho I would prefer it to be Android and not Windows. No idea on Win apps. |

this Windows iS silky smooth and the android market is better, but coming from an android this thing is rediculous and for only 150$ you cant beat it
|
I have the motorola droid phone with verizon and it is pretty good. Still not as fast as a good ole keypad phone, and the touch thing was not designed around someone with a heavier hand. All in all the features are pretty good, and the phone seems well made. I have had pretty good success with motorola, but better with lg. Time will tell.
|
Would've gone for the HTC Eris if I could get a new phone, stuck with the enV Touch (No data plan, got the phone before Verizon put that into effect, woo!), and meh.
It gets old after awhile, I wish I would've made my brother hold on for a good 2 months, just to get the HTC Eris.... I'm jealous. |

Either way, I got 2 Eris phones for $50 (one for wife) when we upgraded. What a freaking deal. The only thing I really want is the 2.1 OS update so google map navigation works properly. |
Ah yes, the B1G1 free deal you lucky duck.
A bunch of HTC and Android phones had them, And I was there sitting, almost weeping because I couldn't bite on that deal. Not that I would wanna bite on anything else...linc.. |

Honestly, I had a HTC Tilt, and I'll NEVER buy another HTC. I was VERY careful with that phone and I broke at least 4 screens, not to mention it was $300 for a refurbished one. It always froze, I had to use the damn stylus for EVERYTHING and it was just overall a pain in the ass. I got a 32G iPhone 3GS and I couldn't be happier. I've had pretty much everything you can think of, and its my favorite bar none. I've had Razrs, a LG Xenon, LG Vu, HTC Tilt, plus a few more that I can't even remember, and other than the iPhone, the Xenon and Vu were the only ones I even half ass liked.
|
WTF is the HTC Tilt... I've never heard of it but it looks dumb. Haha.

I want the HTC Desire ... if only it wasn't so freakin' expensive
The HD2 is nice as well, but 4.3 is getting to big for my liking and I prefer Android 2.1 over WM 6.5.1. But both hae the same resolution and hardware. |
we will see in a couple of weeks how this phone pans out, but so far the more i play with it the better it gets, shoot I'm on it right now, the browser is really fast
|
a week ago I got the motorola droid from verizon...I went from a bb storm 1 and this droid blows it away..especially with free google maps and gps that takes you to the front door of any location and the apps are insane
|
I finally held the Motorola Droid in my hands today, and got a quick preview, as well as the HTC Droid Eris, and HTC Hero (friends).
The Droid's slide feels very.... NOT flimsy, very tough, but all the same, very hard to slide up, I like slides that go on demand, but doesn't take much effort to do so. Saying this, I'm still in love with the Droid, as well as the others. Though, the Droid Eris is very nice, absolutely love it. Next is the Nexus One.. Time to make friends with that one kid.. |

my motorola droid keyboard slides effortlessly and locks into place......if yours is hard to slide up then something is wrong |
the hd2 also has google maps with gps, i used to think my buddies droid was sweet until i put it up against mine, it s puny lol
|
I have a droid, love the android phones.
The HTC desire, Nexus one, and Incredible are all basically the same hardware, all running android 2.1 (soon to be 2.2). The incredible has the sense UI added on top of it. The droid is a 500mhz processor, less ram, but has the physical keyboard. IMO, HTC sucked without android, but now that they can focus on the hardware and run android, they're rockin. |
hd2 pwns, 1ghz snapdragon processer

how does the t-mobile compare to verizon coverage wise? how much is unlimited internet access cost at t-mobile? and can you teather the hd2 to your laptop? |
Speaking of tethering, that is a feature I love in the HTC Tilt. One of the reasons I find it hard to replace it with an android. Can anybody confirm if there are any androids out there with tethering?
BTW, my Tilt is an AT&T phone that I removed the AT&T WinMo OS and installed the generic HTC WinMo OS and it has been rock solid since. Been using it on T-Mobile since I got it about three years ago. Even run TomTom 6 with the built in GPS receiver. |
