I have been looking at these for my CRT .5, but I want to have a 6.5-7.5T for running 3S. Maybe they will release lower kv winds eventually? I don't think the stator and sensor board is user replaceable though, so that kind of makes me lean towards the Ballistic 550.
|
Cool...I was looking for another motor for my daughter's crt.5
|
how about some motors around 2000kv?
|
What's the application for?
|
Are these motors 2 pole or 4 pole?
|
Roar 2 polers.
|
so...what's the updated availability of these motors? Not very much summer left!
|
Soon, next few weeks.

The demand for this type of wind would have to justify us making it.

They shoud be shipping out of the normal channels first 1/3 of September. Understand we have NO control over what Tower or anyone elses posts for a "date."

Most folks, me included, have had a very positive experience with Tekin products, service and online communites and have a favorable perception. This SC4X debacle, theatens to change that. Announce a date, and stick to it. Simple as that. |
For the record, Tower just pushed out (again) to "Late September"
|
i pre-ordered one over a month ago thinking i would have it by now since tower said "early september"
now our racing season ends in less then 2 weeks, i have no motor, and the date got pushed back again. |

The first post in this thread did say Mid July for availability...so 3 months later w/no motors yet, I can understand why some people are getting a little upset

Ty and Randy Pike are the only ones coming close to that scenario and they are not complaining (at least not publicly). Get real guys - we are playing with toys. No matter how serious you are about them, they are still toys (ultimately unnecessary to you and your family's survival on this earth). |

I am also waiting for the release of these...since I am in not in a hurry, no bother to me if they are delayed. I have many other trucks to play with |
Sorry for the delay guys. It's been far longer than we anticipated. They're in final assembly and packaging now. Should see them hitting stores in the next 10 days at the latest.
Once out for distribution it takes a few days for distributors to get 'em out. |
well i for one am waiting for the motor, yes it would of been nice to have it this year but its just a toy, im still going to buy one even if it takes till next season
on a side note TeamMgr is the RS Pro going to handle these on 2cell lipo without problems? |
The RS Pro can run the motors just fine. I will reccomend a 2nd power cap if you plan on racing it on large track. Also making sure that the sec can get some cool air will help keep it running cool.
Overall the Rx8 is the better choice, but the Pro does work just fine. |
