Where I've been...
In case some of you noticed I haven't been here much the last couple of weeks, it's because I've been on vacation. I did try to log in once in a while to make sure people are being good, but that's it.
Started out going to SoCal (Fountain Valley) visiting my fiancee's parents, going to Disney, etc. Then, we all went to Hawaii (Oahu). Stayed at the Hilton Grand Vacations resort (Lagoon Tower) in Waikiki beach. Had a great time. Did a LOT of swimming in the ocean and the hotel's pool, went snorkeling at Hanauma Bay, went to a Luau, shopping, rented a car and traveled around the island sightseeing, etc. While there, I got married. Had a nice small wedding outside at Kaka'aku Park (near Waikiki). We were going to wait a couple of years until we could have a traditional (read:expensive) wedding here, but we both thought Hawaii would be the perfect place to have the ceremony. On the way back from Hawaii, we stayed another day in SoCal and visited some more relatives. Then, the next day, we hopped on the plane yet again and headed home. We all just got back, unpacked, and are settling in. |
Congratulations Brian! :yipi:

The better half is now legally missus G  Give the missus a congratulations peck on the cheek for us, but don't go any further.....I don't want her to slap me....I mean you.....aaah, you know

Congratulations.

Best wishes Brian to you both. Sounds like you picked a perfect place to tie the knot

Congratulations Brian!
You did the right thing. My wife and I did the expensive wedding at home and now wish we had not. Her dad paid, but offered to let us take the money and run. We visited Hawaii (Maui) last year and realized we should have taken the money and ran! Our wedding went by so fast, it's really hard to even remember anything (and we weren't drinking). I remember us being in the back of the limo half asleep on our way to the hotel being like "what the hell just happened". |
Congratulations Mr and Mrs G! The pics look great on FB. Absolutely lovely family...
|
Congrat's Brian. Second time is the charm!

Congratulations Brian. I second what TexasSP said. Way to go with the flow, it must have been very romantic  We were in Hawaii last August and we really want to go back. How did you like the Luau? Those hips are mesmerizing aren't they

Congratulations Brian!!! I've been busy living life myself and haven't been on RCM much. Good stuff!!
It seems like everybody is growing up and moving on:cry: I wish you and your new wife many happy memories. |

Thanks guys!
I'll still be here. The wife has no problem with my RC addiction, so I don't see myself selling everything unless I lose my job or something. About 3-4 times a week, I hook my XT8 truggy to a wagon and tow my little girl (19 months) 1-2 miles around the neighborhood. She loves her rides so the XT8 is not gonna go anytime soon, unless I mod the wagon with its own drivetrain . Altered Image: Thanks for the correction! Loved my trip to Hawaii, but if I do it again, I want to go somewhere a little less "touristy". Somewhere where I can rent a (nice-ish)hut on the beach that is still close to "civilization", attend a "real" luau, etc. Whitraz: Funny you should post that. On the way back to the hotel from the marriage site, I told the wedding party that I actually felt a phantom "click" of the ball and chain when I said "I do". |

If you do happen to make it back to our little rock formation in the middle of the Pacific, I would look to Kauai. Kauai is the garden isle, so I think this may be more to your liking.....lots of scenery. You can check out some of the stuff they have here: http://adventureinhawaii.com/kauai.h...FSH5iAodlhSXxQ I feel an anniversary trip coming on......lol. |
