Baja 5T summer time bashin fun! *w/vid/pics*
Allright, so I finally decided to loosen up a bit and just have fun with my 5T on a beautiful summer day in my town. It was time to open it up and let her fly a bit and just not worry about breaking something. And wouldn't ya know it, I had a blast and didn't break anything! *cue up Beach Boys*

Great action pics man. Looks like you had lots of fun.

Nice pix and nice mts.

Nice pics like always but watching the video I was waiting for a Full Bore top speed run at the hill, A little disapointed it didn't happen.

Are the baja's really that fragile? I thought they were supposed to be the toughest?

Looks like you had fun. I will say that it is just as noisy as my edger. I like the full throttle runs, looks like a typical 2wd, challenging to keep straight!
As for that dirt mound, 1st thing I would have done was attack it at full speed with the lst... Jump the white hill and clear the brown one. But you are running a really heavy truck and landings could be dangerous... and costly. I have jumped alot bigger with 8th scale but they can survive rough landings. I can imagine that 5t body takes a beating. |
It looks like this was filmed on a Thursday, so why the Sunday driving?
I haven't used my balls since I've been paralyzed. I'll ask bondo to untie my scrote and let you borrow them if you want. Build it, bash it, break it. Lather, rinse, repeat. You've got to pay to play, and if you're not breaking something you aren't extreme enough. Yes I'm all hopped up on Mt. Dew. EXTREME!! Fur realz yo. Sell her and get a savage if money is that tight. If you're worried about money this is the wrong hobby. Maintainence maintainence maintainence run maintainence maintainence fix fix maintainence run fix fix fix maintainence maintainence run. Have fun man:intello: |

Oh, hippie keeps his stash in there. And his cat's nip. Those two start pawing at it and it's just like the drum solo from Ina Gadda Da Vida
|
Isn't kinda gross getting your bean bag back with kitty and Hippie drool all over it ?
|
Yes. And I love it:love:
|
Your certainly a man of simple pleasures Mr Harold.
|
I still want a baja. Lucky dog. The things I would do to a baja...
I know our trips to sand mountain or the oregon dunes would be twice as fun with one of these. |
I know the noise is all part of it but I find the 'NING NING sound really irritating. I even prefer the sound of nitro to these things. Nice pics though.
|
You haven't really bashed a Baja until you've busted a chassis!
...I'm on my 3rd :D |

its not a good bash unless you bring it home undriveable, racers try not to brake anything, basher try to brake everything |
I guess im neither a racer, or basher then. Guess i'm just an "owner" One of my new hostile boots failed today and im pissed. So much for these being the toughest.

It's cool that you are one of the most conservative regular posters here. We need someone's good sense to rein us in now and then. Despite the love/hate relationship with Linc (as in he loves to hate you:slap:) your input is welcomed. Most people get Monster Trucks (savage) because of the size and ability to overcome obstacles. You never mentioned missing this aspect while driving the 5b. You did mention your dislike for maintenance. I think you should try a brushless truggy or buggy. They are tough as nails out of the box (low maintainance) and have the plug and play that you seem to like. A truggy is a little more bashable simply because the larger tires overcome greater obstacles, but a buggy gets by on a bit less power and because of the reduced rotational weight of the wheels and tires requires even less maintainence. Yep.:na: |
Yeah get an 1/8 buggy, convert it and beat it like Harold does when he watches scrambled cable tv....
