hybrid diffs (revo)

where can i find a set of the bullet proof diff case combo?
Danny

AMorgan 08.05.2010 03:31 PM

I think we're all pretty much sitting quietly and waiting for Mike to rerelease. Hopefully we'll see them again soon. My Revo has 2 Losi diffs begging to be installed.

nitropyro 08.05.2010 03:42 PM

yeah i don't even have an issue yet due to i lose axles too quickly, but hopefully once i install these summit axles i will be set. but we all know that will lead to the next weak spot which ever one else seems to already have.

I don't want to do the losi's due to cutting the bulks which are a little weak already.

So im hoping once mike moves i will see these back in the store and i can snag a set.

AMorgan 08.08.2010 11:12 PM

I got impatient... I bought an 8ight-T.

mistercrash 08.22.2010 08:49 PM

Any news on these? I love running 8th scale diffs in my Revo but I don't want to grind material off the bulks to make them fit anymore.

AMorgan 08.23.2010 11:05 AM

Crash,

I got a message back from Mike that said he has a set of V1s that he'd part with but no info regarding when we might see new hybrid diff sets.

Arct1k 08.23.2010 11:20 AM

I've the V3's in mine - They are expensive but one of the best upgrades ever...

Since I put them about a year ago I've never had to do any maintainence on them (touch wood)... I was always blowing diff's even with revo metal inner and outer cups and this cured all of that...

Yeah put more salt on the wound of people who would love to get theirs but can't

I'll wait for a brand new batch of V3s AMorgan. Thanks for the info.

Arct1k 08.23.2010 07:18 PM

Mike and Jamie will both be at the Bash at the weekend - I'll ask for you ;)

mistercrash 08.23.2010 08:28 PM

Nice of you  I appreciate it.

doo540 08.24.2010 11:44 AM

I had a set of v3 in my e-revo and loved them, I have since sold that e-revo and now have 2 new revo's. So I need 2 sets asap.
I currently run the LST2 diffs in both revo and have been having problems with the bulkheads breaking. So I really want to switch back to the v3 or the latest versions.

Is there going to be V3 diffs back in stock soon? Please?

molak 09.08.2010 05:27 PM

i want 3 sets!

Come on mike!

mistercrash 10.11.2010 09:12 PM

Mike! Pleaaaaase! Give me what I want and I'll give you money!

Arct1k 10.11.2010 11:10 PM

If you know mike he's always tweaking designs - He wanted to come up wit a V4 to tweak the setup... I'll try to persuade him to make another batch of 15-20....

mistercrash 10.12.2010 01:48 PM

I don't know Mike personnaly but I can understand his quest to always improve his designs.

BIG-block 10.13.2010 12:23 AM

I haven't busted a diff yet in my E-Revo but since one of them is going to be getting a 1717 shoehorned in it I think that a diff upgrade will be absolutely necessary. Put me down for couple of sets please.

Manne 10.26.2010 07:28 PM

Any news on this?

That was with a 1518. I am kind of getting sick and tired of fixing stuff on this truck. Right now I feel undecided if I even want to persist with it. I have a RC8T on the way so I think I will stick with tougher truggies. Still I might get a pair of hybrid diffs if they ever come back in production.

doo540 11.09.2010 12:55 PM

nice job

Just addeing to the thread so that Mike knows were still interested in the hybrid diffs.
I need 4 diffs.......................

molak 11.09.2010 02:40 PM

I want 10 cases ! I have several customers tired of stock diffs..

suicideneil 11.09.2010 08:20 PM

Half the traxxas forum will buy them too- stock diffs suck ( obviously ) and the LST2 diff mod is too tricky for most...

Lst2 diff mod is something you can do for your own use at your risk . But cant sell modded parts to your customers...

I just bought a set of lst2 diff for my erbe..

Difficult or easy, doesn't really matter. You have to remove too much material from the bulks which makes them way too weak. (at least for my style of driving:oops:) I did the LST diff mod but broke the bulkhead within the first battery pack. IMO it just moves the weak point elsewhere.

doo540 11.13.2010 07:23 PM

I've run both the hybirds and the lst diffs in 4 different e-revos.
I also prefer the hybrids.
Mike please tell us that your close to having the new design done!!!!!

molak 11.13.2010 10:46 PM

Or at least keep selling the old one !

mistercrash 12.07.2010 09:53 AM

Well I had some money to spend on those diffs but some unexpected house expenses came our way and I had to sacrifice the money. Now that I'm moneyless, the hybrid diffs will of course come back in stock in the next two weeks. :sarcastic: You can all thank me.

Manne 12.07.2010 10:09 AM

Thanks Mc:lol: And thanks for bringing the thread back up so mike can see it.

molak 12.07.2010 04:34 PM

Mikeee!!!d

BIG-block 12.10.2010 04:19 PM

I don't think that Mike gives a rats ass about people that drive Revos sadly.

mistercrash 12.17.2010 02:32 PM

I'm not sure that Mike doesn't give a rat's ass about E-Revo users. Maybe he's got to many projects going on. It's a bit discouraging to wait for so long just to have some news, any news on when these will be back in stock.

luvsrc 12.29.2010 02:13 AM

Arct1k 01.11.2011 01:02 PM

I spoke to him again and managed to get him to I think do a run - Only issue is that the cases are machines by Jamie at FLM so he was going to reach out to him on timing...
