Also I was curious of the ESC version, yes it's V3:-).

More things will come:
CC Mod 1 pinions 17T, 19T, 21T and 23T.
Motor fan.

Fans are powered by CC Bec Pro (the unit beside the RX).

No it's not fans overload.
I am running at the highest settings and highest pinion.
But still not fast enough for me, so I will run 6s lipo with 2650KV.
I've also 2200KV, but I am keeping as spare.

Hmmm anyone knows where I can buy pionion above 23T.

snellemin 08.17.2010 04:35 PM

WOW, what is up with all those fans?? Building a 150mph buggy that will run in a desert?

BMW318TI 08.17.2010 04:37 PM

Yup he are 100% right!
Update tomorrow!!!

Also ordered these stuff.

MMM2200KV (will use as spare) and Hyperion EX 4200 mAH 45C

snellemin 08.17.2010 05:28 PM

brian015 08.17.2010 08:12 PM

Ever consider water cooling?

nitrostarter 08.17.2010 10:19 PM

Holy cooling fan batman! Thats overkill on the fans!

Thanks hmmm looks very good!!!

JERRY2KONE 08.18.2010 05:43 AM

Never

I have never seen that many fans on one R/C vehicle:eyes:. Considering that allot of guys run the CC MMM without a fan I think you are a bit overkill there:oh:. Six fans on one car is totally not needed:neutral:. You could have installed an A/C unit and used less power, and dropped a few ounces in weight:yes:.

Why so many fans:diablo:? All you really need is one on the ESC and one on the motor. Your losing half of your battery power on those fans, which will cut your run times by 30%. That thing will run in hell and not over heat.

You do nice work by the way. Your setup is clean and very neat. Great job.

BMW318TI 08.18.2010 06:07 AM

Nope fans has their own power supply and CC Bec pro hahaha:-).
O well MMM can easily handle the extra weight it's 120A motor hahaha.
Also the fans don't weight that much:-).

JERRY2KONE 08.18.2010 06:17 AM

Dreams

Everyone has their own dream of what the perfect R/C vehicle is supposed to look like. I guess your dream is one with lots of fans? To each his own.

BMW318TI 08.18.2010 06:25 AM

Yes I love to push the stuff to maximum.
I don't like playing safe hahaha.

And the temp. is about 116F with current setup.
Temp. is measured with Spektrum Telemetry temp. sensor.

suicideneil 08.18.2010 02:23 PM

You shouldnt have cut the sides off the motor fan mount- it is designed to funnel air down around the motor and between the fins to ensure maximum cooling & heat exchange- without the sides, the air is just blowing against that one spot under the fan and then dispersing..

BMW318TI 08.18.2010 03:42 PM

Yeah I know, but the little fan sucks.
That's reason why I have 3D cooling hahaha:lol:

Question does the watercooling really helps a lot?

Turn it around.

Bondonutz 08.18.2010 05:08 PM

Nice build skills, neat and tidy.

I myself have to wonder about the super excessive fan usage, to each his own I guess ?

JERRY2KONE 08.18.2010 06:02 PM

Yes

YES the water cooling works more efficiantly than air cooling due to the direct contact/conduction theory. More labor intensive due to added maintenance, but worth it in some setups.

BMW318TI 08.18.2010 06:38 PM

But to bad it's only mounted at the front and that's is not the hotspot area.
I would like to see wrapped around the motor.

Little update.
Cut more off the ESC case for better airflow and easy cleaning.
Also I cleaned up the BEC pro wiring.

reno911 08.20.2010 03:59 PM

I like the updated fan on the MMM but, all the extras on and around the motor, ehh not my thing. Got to give it to you for the work, very well done.

My biggest question, why all this and not have this thing slammed on street tires for high speed runs? Seriously, land speed record might be coming your way with all that cooling.

BMW318TI 08.21.2010 09:07 AM

Hmmm bigger lipo and pinion means more heat.
So I have to upgrade the fans with more airflow and power.
Ofcourse I am crazy and bought some new Sunon fans.
http://media.conrad.com/m/1000_1999/..._00_FB.EPS.jpg

In total the car will have 7 fans hahaha:lol:

BMW318TI 08.25.2010 04:54 PM

The Hyperion 6S lipo is in!:-).
But I hate the crappy thin blue heatshrink, no protection at all.
So it's time for hardcase mod!
