Radio Systems
I just picked up a Futaba FASST 4PK and BLS452 servo, both have 15 runs on them, for a really cheap price. Its a killer radio from what I've seen.
I was using a cheap Tactic 2.4ghz radio for all before. So I was just curious as to which radio system everyone was running? |
M11, with spectrum and novak modules. With an am module I can even run stuff that has built in rx. 4 channel with the 4th slaved off the brakes. Makes for a killer 5th scale or boat radio. Plus it is huge and impressive and that in itself makes me better than other people who play with rc.

Spektrum DX3.0, Futaba 3PM-FM, & Futaba 6EXA. Servos are all Futaba.
|
dx3s with telemetry in the rc8 for temp and speed and a BLS452 servo too. it rocks. use the airtronics 360z in the 4x4 slash. went with the spektrum cause it was cheaper, lighter, could use telemetry, had m8's and used m11's just dont care for them. mostly dont need all the extra crap, weight and price for the airtronics tx's to race my rigs. but to each his own i guess.

I have three Nomadio Sensors, and one DX3R, plus a few stocker TRX radios. I have not used any of them enough to draw any conclusions, but I really do like the Sensor, & the DX3R. Having the telemetry options are a nice addition. Still learning. |

Futaba 3PK 2.4 works awesome for me. I really like the way it feels and anything from Futaba is great quality. |
I've had a dx3.0 for a while but the range issues with this particular tx hopefully will be gone when I recieve the dx3s. Seemed like a reasonably cheap option as I can use current rx's and upgrade to a telemetry rx later.

Nomadio React and Airtronics mx3. I just really like hooking the Nomadio up to the pc and play with the settings of all my vehicles. Also like how I can us the third channel on my RX for steering with just a few clicks(I have a bad rx, whose steering channel is out). Also like how I can use those little spektrum sr3500 rx's with the nomadio.

Tactic 2.4 (2 tx and 4 rx)
I tried a DX2 once and had range issues. Never had a problem with the range on the Tactics - so I'm sticking with them. |
Nomadio Sensor (with Spek receivers) is my current radio, and FlySky GT3 which I haven't tried yet.
|
Flysky GT2, Really simple and light tx, Small rx's that don't glitch out on low voltage like my spektrums do.(MMP on 2s) & Bluebird MG servos.
|
DX3S with SR3300T, only use temp sensor on my truggy with DS1015 on my 1/8 and 85MG in my MERV.
I like the simple lay-out of this radio. Every moron can operate this things which made it pretty much perfect for me  |
Dx3s for me. Love the radio. Weighs nothing. Never had issues with signal at any distance. Love the telemetry, motor temps at a glimpse. RPM/Speed sensor doesn't do as well as it should but is nice once calibrated. Easy screen navigation, easy binding, just plain easy.

+1 on the temp at a glance. not to mention the adjustable high temp alarm. i agree the rpm/speed sensor is a little dodgey, but it works well enough for a ballpark speed when gearing. best way i found is on the bench/car stand. gives pretty accurate readings this way provided you entered the right conversion value. plus i like to see the needle moving in the telemetry screen! more of a novelty i guess but im amused. heres a photo of where i got it mounted, has worked well.
