Semi Pro 10.27.2011 09:28 PM

thats a great idea, all it needs is razor blades for bumpers

Swindez85 10.28.2011 01:15 AM

I want a video of this thing on 6s on asphalt, full throttle starts, with day and night video to see all the sparks it would make hehe.

bruce750i 10.28.2011 09:19 AM

Humm razor blades....

The cutting tips don't throw sparks for some reason. The tips are chipping off from side slides on pavement so I did get some sparks last night.

If that's the spec tire for ThunderbirdJunkie's local track, he's no longer volunteer marshalling for MTs.

bruce750i 10.28.2011 04:23 PM

I'll be looking for some cheap pumpkins to chop up this weekend. They might require 7" blades instead:yes:

Shawn's Battle truck was epic!http://i300.photobucket.com/albums/n...i/475d653f.jpg

The 7" blades didn't work as good as the little 5" blades. Without welding hex nuts on the blades the larger ones worked my right side wheel nuts loose too quickly.

The blades would get more meat sawing action if I had a center diff. Right now it just crawls over stuff until I punch it to spin out.

I bashed it hard Saturday with the small blades. Jumps, cartwheels, wheelies, asphalt cutting, leaf mulching and pumpkin carving. The esc fan was kicking on but the motor was like 110F. With tires and wheels only weighing 16oz total it should run allot longer compared to running rubber tires. I bent a few blades cartwheeling and tried to bend them back but they still had some wobble. My rear diff is now toasted and I got tired of dealing with perfecting the blade mounts, for now I am back on Terra-pins.

Happy Halloween Rc'ers!
