Flm Combo bulks or hybrid bulks
I would like to know which diffs will fit either the combo bulks or the hybrid bulks....other than UE diffs.....
|
ofna and HB diffs work
|
do you know which one for which setup buy chance? be more specific please.....thanks
|
those would fit the hybrids(1/8 scale diffs)
if i was you i would go with hb diffs and bulkless hybrid diffs. |
Spyder 8, cause it got the alum housing.
Very smooth diff which will take serious abuse. |
Basically, the combos are just for factory replacement gears such as stockers and the hybrids are made for 1/8th scale gears.
I would recommend the Lightning Stadium diffs like Boss recommended. There awesome diffs although Ofna, UE, HB, Kyosho(I think), ect... |
ok which ofna buggy gears will work...does any one know.....I'm really trying to locate some gears...
|
if I eliminate the diff housings...could I use these in the hybrid bulks... if not which ones do you think will work.....

Those will work.

Metal man, on the Ue site does this link to these diffs appear to be for 1 or 2 diffs
http://www.unlimitedengineering.com/...ore/13543.html |
That would be for 2.
|
That is for 1 diff. There is only 1 cup, 8-8spyder gears, one pinion gear etc. Im sure its for 1.
|
Sylvester, that is for 2. This I am sure of since the fact that if it were for 1, that would mean that 2 of them was required making the price be $360 for just the diffs....UE is expensive but not that expensive....Also, another reason that wouldnt make any since is because the Ultralight diff kit is only $400 ($400 is the list, the sale price is $325 which makes even less sense...)....You can't go by the picture....

$99ea diff = $198 cases $60ea = 120 both diffs = $318 or $299 if you buy as package. So yea, UE is THAT expensive. Go with hotbodies, they have far superior spiral cut gears. Dual 7XL on 12 cells each wouldnt break the hotbodies. |
BP, the price has changed since this thread. The price use to be $180 for the one in the link...
|
Its now $99.95- quantity one.
|
ah, didnt notice that. Still....you wont break a HB pro diff, I did my testing with the NON hardend version and never broke a properly shimmed gear. I broke wheels, but never hurt the diffs. Dont get sucked into the hype.
|
Indeed, this is all relevent to me too. I will see how the 3.3 diffs hold up with the hvmaxx, but if they implode I may be getting something a bit more sturdy- we will see when the time comes....
