Nice, Rare & Common Maxx Chassis List...

I know it will take me a while, but I REALLY want to build a full-blown Supermaxx out of most of the really cool, rare or common Chassis...will you guys help me list the chassis that are out there? I already have a new Lightning & an eMaxxler, so here goes a list of both Nitro & Brushless Chassis:

[01] Custom CF
[02] Razorback (or is it just Razor)
[03] Lightning
[04] Thunder
[05] Predator
[06] Blackbird
[07] eMaxxler
[08] eMaxximum (eMaxxler's big brother)
[09] Racebomb (aluminum, carbon-fiber, lexan)
[10] Dominator Hybrid (DUH Ti Version)
[11] JT Racing (Bulkhead & UE VBS Versions)
[12] HCR Mutant-Maxx
[13] Hardcore Racing (their 1st aluminum version for the old E-Maxx)
[14] Xtreme Racing (maybe?)
[15] ???

What others can you guys think of? Also, do any of you have any of the chassis listed, or the ones you add to the list?

Thanks in advance!

_paralyzed_ 03.08.2012 12:10 PM

I'm maxx crazy myself and have never heard of the eMaxximum.

Can we get pics of each of these chassis'? Please!

Arct1k 03.08.2012 12:41 PM

_paralyzed_, I could be wrong here, but I BELIEVE that plettenberg's version of the eMaxxler chassis is called the eMaxximum because it is bigger (longer & wider), and can mount either bulkheads or VBS. The above chassis in the pictures is the eMaxxler, which I now have, but I hope to find and buy one of the 12 eMaxximums that plett had built! Best I can tell, only one eMaxxler chassis was ever made, and I have it!!!

Arct1k, I have been staring at plett's pics for a few days now, heh...I hope when I get done building the eMaxxler that it will look just as good. Of course, I am building it with white & black powder-coated & anodized parts instead of silver, so it will be a lot different! When I start to get more parts, I will start a build thread and get ideas from everyone on what color to make each part!

bosox had this chassis, I bought it from him, and he was running black VBS-T with white Knuckleheads on it, so I think I may go that route instead of VBS...what do you guys think?

Sloracer1080 03.10.2012 05:30 AM

#10 on your list is on eBay right now...
http://www.ebay.com/itm/DUH-Engineer...ht_1052wt_1270

JERRY2KONE 03.10.2012 06:46 AM

Not bad

Thats not actually a bad price ($499) either if you wish to go that route. It is probably one of the rarest chassis setups out there for sure. Personally not all that great of a design from my pespective. Everyone has their own interest.

magman 03.10.2012 09:07 AM

Amazing to me the prices some of the rare maxx chassis fetch...wow. I also have a soft spot for the maxx trucks as they got me back into this hobby again after a 20 yrs. absence.

Chadworkz 03.10.2012 06:01 PM

I just needed to change a few things...

Kcaz25 03.10.2012 06:16 PM

Very nice list!! I have thought of making a thread citing all of the E-Maxx chassis made by manufactures before not just the rare or expensive ones.

I would most certainly include a GMaxx chassis. Probably the G3. And would eliminate the Xtreme racing. I've seen that chassis. CLICK personally I think it doesn't make the list. It seems as if you can still order one. If so maybe they are not rare.

Chadworkz 03.10.2012 06:18 PM

Wow, I can't believe I forgot to mention the Gorillamaxx chassis...heh! I have a G2 chassis already, but still can't believe I forgot to mention it...lol! I would like to build a G2/G3 and even a G4!

Chadworkz 03.11.2012 12:11 AM

Are there any other rare or cool chassis out there? Anyone have a Blackbird?

FG101C 03.11.2012 12:41 AM

What kind of price tag do one of these supermaxx's bring or how about one of the trucks pictured above? Some of the nicest rc's I've seen.

Chadworkz 03.11.2012 01:10 AM

It really depends on what parts are used in the build, but anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 to even $10,000 if the rarest parts are used!

FG101C 03.11.2012 04:11 AM

Any pics of a $10,000 rig? And I thought I spent a lot on 1/8th scale, lol.

Chadworkz 03.11.2012 07:01 AM

I think my New Lightning Chassis w/ New GA Ti Lightning Center Skidplate/New UE GenIV Servo-Saver/New VBS with New Ti SKids, New Jounces, Both New Bumpers & New 8-Spiders/New 16mm Racer-X with New Setbacks, New Hi-Impacts & New Ti VBS Turnbuckles/New Supershocks/New Diemaker Dave VBS Wing-Mount/New GenIII Ultramaxxed Gears/New Full-Set of Acer Racing Ceramic Bearings/New GA Blue 12.9 Grade Screw Kit/New G-Maxx Single-Speed & New FLM Half-Case/New UE 8mm Full Titanium CVDs/New UE Ti VBS Hingepins & New UE Ti Pillow-Balls/New Strobe Slipper w/ New Peek Pads & New Sprong, New UE Steel 51T Spur/New UE Ti Center Dogbones & New UE Drivecups/Like-New UE Supermaxx Wheels w/ New Bowtie MTR Tires & Foams/New Mugen MBX-5T Wing-Stays/New JConcepts Wing/New UE Sticker-Sheet/New Hitec Ti-Gear Servo/New Spectrum SR3005 Receiver/and either New or Like-New Parts everywhere else...I think I have about $10k in the truck, since I paid quite a bit for the "New" & "NIP" Parts that are on it. I need to price out the entire parts list to see exactly what I have invested in it...

Chadworkz 03.11.2012 07:04 AM

After this I added the New VBS Bumpers & Jounces, as well as a few other parts!

Overdriven 03.12.2012 01:51 AM

Trophy Truck ever make a chassis or just the Diff cases and Suspension pieces?

suicideneil 03.12.2012 09:26 AM

You can add the Torpedo chassis to that list ( also made by BPP ).

Klausen 03.12.2012 12:10 PM

G-maxx

I wondered where the G-maxx's were on the list as well, but thought I just was a fool for those

Chadworkz 03.12.2012 01:44 PM

Nah, I just forgot to add the G-Maxx chassis...and yep, need to add the BPP Torpedo!

[01] Custom CF
[02] Razorback (or is it just Razor)
[03] Lightning
[04] Thunder
[05] Predator
[06] Blackbird
[07] eMaxxler
[08] eMaxximum (eMaxxler's big brother)
[09] BPP Racebomb (aluminum, carbon-fiber, lexan)
[10] BPP Torpedo
[11] Dominator Hybrid (DUH Ti Version)
[12] JT Racing (Bulkhead & UE VBS Versions)
[13] HCR Mutant-Maxx
[14] Hardcore Racing (their 1st aluminum version for the old E-Maxx)
[15] Xtreme Racing (maybe?)
[16] Gorillamaxx G2/G3 & G4 Chassis

I have a line on a very nice Blackbird with the UE Thunder/Lightning Chassis Braces! :)

Kcaz25 03.12.2012 04:13 PM

I failed to read the title correctly. I was under the impression you only wanted the rare and expensive. There are more... I take back what I said about the xtreme racing chassis.

No, the xtreme shouldn't make the cut. It has no front kick-up and uses rear bulkheads on both ends of the truck, eliminating any front camber. It's just a poor design.

While we're talking about rare maxx parts, remember Hammad Ghuman and the off orange colored parts?

I just sold these "rare" maximizer ultra diffs: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110832484303...#ht_500wt_1344

Kcaz25 03.12.2012 06:24 PM

Harold. I do remember HERE are some still in stock at Stormerhobbies. Lito for some reason said stay away! I'm sure he is right... But here is what I'm thinking. Put four arms on a long Maxx with a monoblock extension for instance and put on buggy wheels and you would almost have a buggy. LOL just imagine all that on my flat chassis. I am not going to try it don't worry.

https://www.ssl-stormerhobbies.com/pics/hg3460.jpg

_paralyzed_ 03.12.2012 07:46 PM

Wow, they are still around!:gasp: They made good parts, their upper arms were just a poor design. Gmaxx and intejunk solved the single upper arm thing with three attachment points to the bulkhead. HG's single attachment point was weak and developed slop quickly.

At one point I had a full HG t-maxx with chassis, arms, f/c/r skids, bumpers and hexes. I just used the bumpers on my pif-maxx build:yes:

Kcaz25 03.12.2012 08:31 PM

WOW! Do you have pics? I'm sure they are no longer making parts, but just haven't sold out everywhere.

Actually, the lower chassis is designed thin along with a thick upper deck so that the front can be flexed up to run standard front bulkheads for the required kick-up.

But yes, I do want to know any/all of the very rare chassis that were made for the Maxx (E & T), but also the nice or cool ones as well...like the Xtreme Racing chassis.

Kcaz25 03.12.2012 11:25 PM

There was the dynamite chassis that had dual layers for batteries. That was novel anyway.

All of the FLM chassis should be included for sure! Ice, 3906, 3905, and new 3905 gmaxx style. (don't call it that i just can't think of the name)

Chadworkz 03.13.2012 12:43 AM

Yep, this list is getting LOOOOOOOOONG!!! Heh!

P.S: Can you mount UE Ultralites into the Pro-Line Bulkheads made for the Ofna Dominator which allow you to use Maxx Suspensions, instead of the Dominator Diff-Cases?

EDIT: Does anyone know the RCM UserName of "onelosenut" on eBay? I need to talk to him...

I wish. I started building maxx trucks when the hacker brushless system just came out. I bet I built and sold a dozen before I started taking pics of my builds.

The Hammad Ghuman truck was orange and blue with a square head O.S. .15 cvx. Good times!

I'll throw pics of one of my early shelf queen builds up in a day or so:yes:

I don't think the ultralites would fit.

I've been seeing a ton of "onelosenut" auctions myself.

We really need photos of all these chassis'.

Has anyone talked to plettenbergs? I imagine his emaxxler type chassis are just sitting at the machine shop. I was on the list for one:whistle:

JERRY2KONE 03.13.2012 02:17 AM

Sorry

Sorry to tell you Harold, but Matt sold his original EMaxxler chassis and all of his prototypes to Mike aka Bosox over on UE. Mike completed the prototype production, but decided to keep them all for himself. The last post I saw regarding this setup he stated that he may or may not decide to release them for sale at some point, but for now he had no plans of letting any of them out of his hands. The finished product looks really nice. A bunch of us were on the list for his release, but nothing ever came of that. Oh well. He had something like 20 of them made.

Is Bosox over here on RCM yet? If not, somebody get him over here:yes:

I will use Google Images & the UE Forum Images and see if I can get pics of all the listed chassis!

He used to use Mikak as his user name. Referring to Bosox.
