Hardcore Tmaxx Pro Purple build
 

Well I have gotten into the Hardcore parts and have to say they are some of my favorites. Im going to be doing a few builds with their stuff in the future hopefully. The first one is going to be based on the .15 Pro TI chassis with a purple theme. It wont be completely purple though, there will be silver and natural titanium to break it up. I'm also doing a HCR Emaxx green theme at the same time, so this build wont be fast as I'm collecting hard to find parts for 2 trucks at the same time. I like HCR parts alot myself. Built quite a few Maxx trucks using their stuff back in the day.

Awesome collection, this is gonna be 2 nice builds. I like the Hardcore stuff alot too. Used to have some blue bulkheads on my first Gmaxx, and they were great.

Looks like a great start.

Why not send them all out to get anodized purple the same color?

HCR actually had a couple different shades of purple. Im wanting all my stuff to be the brightest shade they had. I could send it off once I have all my parts, but chances of getting someone to match this purple seems slim. My goal is to find the parts in the purple I want. Might take a while, but its the plan. Im also going to do an emaxx in HCR green and Im also going to do one where I have the parts anodized my own color. Hardest part is just finding HCR parts in good enough shape.

Got the motor mount mounted in today. Should have more rear bulkheads this week and be able to get those mounted and then assemble the rear suspension.

Sorry for the big delay in progress guys. I found some different parts that are really going to take this build to its best I think. I also picked up another chassis this weekend and I think Im going to make a twin to this truck. Everything purple on this one will be silver on the twin and everything silver will be purple. Here is a sneak peak at the new chassis

Check out the bulkheads Im using. Notice how they have more material cut out than the purple and silver bulkheads at the bottom of the picture.

Made some more progress. Seems that there is a lot of silver in the front and rear suspension. I really intended for this to be a more purple than silver truck, so Im kind of thinking about changing some things. I have a Purple emaxx chassis Im going to build and it would probably look better with more silver in the suspension areas since the chassis is a solid purple piece. Not really sure what to do yet, but leave feedback if you have any suggestions.

Thanks for the comments guys. I thought about mixing the arms, but didn't like the way it turned out. Got a plan though I going to try switching some things up.

Not sure what the power will be except something small to go with the small frame. Ideally it would have a hcr tranny, but I have only seen one in purple and its not for sale. Im on the hunt for one though

Finally decided on how its going to be. Had to do a lot of changing of parts and colors to see what looked best where and on what truck (building a purple emaxx after this one). Ended up sticking with my original plans. I do have a little surprise for wheels though, I can't wait. Here's new pics.

The tie rods are suppose to attach beneath the knuckle, not on top like you have it.

I'm glad you got the front and rear bumpers on the right end!:lol:

Thanks Paralyzed. I never can decide on the tire rods, I just like the way it looks with them on top usually. Since it wont be run, it doesn't really matter I don't think anyway.

Your the first one to notice/mention the bumpers. I like the fronts best so I got 2 of them instead of the flat rear one.

I got a HCR silver trans today. Purple would be Ideal, but this will have to do until I can find purple. I've only ever seen one. Also got some new shocks. I need yalls opinions on if I should use the purple ones or stick with the silver Progressives.

purple all the way. I did a color build on my revo a couple yrs back...orange and silver. Came out nice although spent way more than I should have..but that's the fun of this hobby. Yours looks great!

I wish I had an update, but Its sitting still at the moment. Im trying to figure out an idea for a tank, but I just can't decide on what to do. Plus, I just got parts done for another build I started a while back and I have been finishing that up. I am making progress on my purple HCR emaxx parts collection:smile:

This is the only tank worthy of the truck. You can find silver caps too. I'd buff off the "rd logics" logo, but i'd leave the skull.

For the time being Im going to mount a stock tank to it, but I do have big plans of a project for a tank that includes a custom tank with purple glass windows

Eye candy for sure. Very nice!

Can I ask why it will never be run though? Seems a shame to put so much into a truck that will never see any action.

Thanks Wheelman. I really don't like running as much as I do building and finding rare parts. It takes forever to find the HCR parts, find them in the color and shade that you want, and then get them new or like new. The thought of this thing getting a scratch on it would drive me crazy. Plus this is nitro and I like going fast when I do run a truck, LOL. I don't run nitro at all anymore, only electric.

To the build though, I have found another part to go on it. I will post a picture later of some new stuff for it. It is getting really close to being done.

Understandable! I have to admit that I might actually have more fun building R/C's than running them. Its VERY close though! :yes: I agree, there is just something to finding the parts little by little and building a truck from the ground up. Good stuff! :yipi:

can't wait to see it finished, like I said its a very flashy truck. That purple is something kind of rare.
