does it come with the girl?
Wonder if it's based on the revo chassis or if they actually made a new chassis for this vehicle. And if they made a new chassis, how many "new" vehicles will come out with the same chassis!?
The timing system is cool though.

That actually looks pretty cool, interesting.

Arct1k 04.02.2012 12:14 PM

Castle MM Pro by the looks of it.

_paralyzed_ 04.02.2012 12:51 PM

It only turns left out of the box. You need an ipod and have to sell your soul to traxxas to unlock the right turn feature.

This isn't a Nascar it's a drag car. Who needs steering when your just going straight.

Looks pretty good! The motor looks to be a Castle 2400kv like the short course.

The transmission/diff combo looks pretty neat too. I think Traxxas brought out some new tech for this one.

suicideneil 04.02.2012 02:19 PM

Indeed, the whole thing is a brand new model with no recycled parts essentially- makes me wonder how it would do against all the home-brew dragracing setups out there...

TexasSP 04.02.2012 02:20 PM

Traxxas has obviously been serious on the R&D front this past year. Looks like a nice model to me. I know several locals who drag and am looking forward to their feedback.

snellemin 04.02.2012 03:15 PM

Looks like a fun toy to have. Obviously not the fastest dragster out there, but surely cheap enough to get into it.

_paralyzed_ 04.02.2012 04:33 PM

All joking aside, kudos to traxxas! They not only just came out with a pretty cool looking brand new vehicle, they also made competition easy with the timing system.

I imagine parking lot drag strips all across america! That, my r/c friends, would be pretty damn cool!

snellemin 04.02.2012 04:36 PM

yes it will be. I would be able to setup the drag strip at my LHS again, until it gets way too hot.

anunaki 04.02.2012 08:18 PM

Im buying one for a 2650 on 4s if possible.

snellemin 04.03.2012 02:06 AM

2650 might be too much weight and hinder with the acceleration from too much torque. You could go with a cheaper Losi version of the stock motor, which is about 2800kv/5mm shaft and around 60bucks(I have one). You gain some rpm and and keep the same weight. But this is just thinking out loud as I don't have a roller yet. I am weary about that 1/8 shaft motor and having no clutch.

crazyjr 04.03.2012 05:58 AM

I can't say that i'm not intrigued, but why a dragster? Traxxas could build a ST, using the Jato platform and still get 70 out of it. I understand the reason, they now sponsor NHRA and John Force racing.

Gripes aside, It's nice to see a company that is thriving in this economy. Too bad they out-scource everything but distribution

ducati777 04.03.2012 11:21 AM

Set the torque control?!?!?!@?!?!

Wait a second, has Traxxas finally decided to actually take advantage of Castle Link Live?

They teased us with the XO-1, then said they weren't pursuing CLL....

nitrostarter 04.03.2012 04:23 PM
