Censored!
Someone on Facebook asked Castle why they don't offer a sensored motor and this was the reply: "Good things come to those who wait."
I don't have a crystal ball but I am guessing this means an announcement in '16 and a product in '17. Pretty exciting! |
Link or screenshot, or it didn't happen.

Second comment down. For some reason Facebook thinks that I am spanish. I am not and I don't speak it. The video is funny and the comment is completely unrelated to the video. |
Yes, wait and wait and wait...
I'm not going to attempt to find the post but when the Castle 1415 2400KV motor came out (what's that? 5 years ago?) Patrick said there would be a sensored version available. Not sure if he used the exact word "soon" but I do remember that. Well I waited and waited. I was running the Castle 2400 on 3S in a 4WD SCT. Lots of bumping and banging happens in SCT and when I got tagged, I got tired of waiting and waiting until the track was clear (and basically in last place) and no one else was hitting me so the MMP could figure out its sync with the rotor and I could get the car moving again. I changed to a Tekin T8I 2700 (closest I could find to the 1415) and never looked back. There was nothing wrong with the 1415 so long as I was rolling but but after getting crashed into I needed the instant startup that sensored offers regardless of the car being pushed around and even rolling backwards. Too late for me to worry about waiting another 3-4 years for Castle sensored motors. Really, it couldn't have been that hard - Novak did it! |
Waiting for sensored. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
OK, found it: Patrick's post from 2010 that there was going to be a sensored version of the 1415.

We are not supposed to comment on upcoming products any more. It makes the marketing guys really angry.
Especially when they are coming very soon. |
I was right
This comment is censored. :wink::party:

I think I would buy a 2028 sensored motor if they made one...

I'm mildly interested in a sensored 2028.
I'm very interested in a 12s ESC. |
Sounds like a great combo!

Yeah but I am thinking that we will see a Sensored 1515 first.

Have MGM, 2x of them in fact. MGM is heavy, physically quite large, expensive and very difficult to get serviced. Also no BEC.
IMHO I'd be nice to have 12s in a smaller footprint w/ BEC and US service. |

First will be the 1406 and 1410 motors, then the 1515, then the 2028, then the little 0808 motors.
If it were to happen, that is. I'm only speculating. |

In fact, the 1415- 2400kv motor sensored would be a great crawler or trail truck motor. Let's make that happen!!

Edit: I can test and keep secrets :na::whistle: |
I 2nd that beta test request...
At least make sure the sensored portion works under water. The old novak SS motors are the only ones that work properly after being submerged. |

If I get a chance, and don't get reprimanded by the rest of the shareholders, I'll post a picture of the 1515-2200 sensored later this week. |
This is awesome!
1410-3800 or 1415-2400 sensored coming? Paypal and CC ready... |
