Short vid from the bash

Heres a short vid of the brushless open class on Saturday at the rc-monster bash. brushless open Track was fantastic.

cool vid! i wish i could have been there.

So I decided to have a brushless bash of my own at a new spot I found. 2 battery packs down and my buggy is destroyed from the POWER!!!!! [rant on] Bent an axle, bent a front universal, and ripped the rear diff apart for the third time!!(it doesn't sound like a lot but I cant get parts for my buggy) It was all worth it!!![rant off] (I need a new buggy)…

I heard in Switzerland, there was some kind of bash going on as well!

:p

coolhandcountry 08.06.2006 08:54 AM

I got a bash happening today. I have it every other sunday. That away I have two weeks to get parts and truck fixed. :D

How is your bash going rene? Daniel hasn't broken nothing up has he.

Superbasher 08.06.2006 12:35 PM

i liked it! was it an actual 'bash' or was it just racing?

Us mac users are in withdrawl, nobody uses avi or mov formats these days for videos.. But i'm guessing it's pretty sweet

Mike.L 08.06.2006 05:34 PM

I wonder where todays is. I like to see video from the long jump and free style.

squeeforever 08.06.2006 07:49 PM

Yea. Ditto....Also, Joe and HnC said they would have plenty of stuff to put up...

Try the VLC media player on your mac.

Superbasher Saturday was all race. I guess I should have gone on Sunday. :005:

BrianG 08.06.2006 08:40 PM

Hmm. The video worked in WMP, but I thought I'd give VLC a try and it works pretty good! Nice OS support too and free!

coolhandcountry 08.06.2006 09:01 PM

I guess got to weight for the editing. It would help if I was more patient.

yea it was ok the longest jump was about 32 ft because the ramp was more built for height.

that track was tough though. it was very loose during the first day and the second day it was only slightly better. and that large cross-over jump in the middle sucked because you were blind going into it.

Hey - I'm in that video :003:

That was my 8th scale buggy with the A123Racing 4s2p 4600 setup. I'm pretty sure that video was from the qualifier that put me 3rd for the A Main on Sunday. Unfortunately, I killed the rear diff and didn't run in the main, but it was still a bit of fun :003:

I'll have some pictures up later today or tomorrow, and I'll work on the video I took. Unfortunately, it was very busy for me and quite hot to be running around all day (great weather for The RC-Monster Bash overall, though) so I don't have as much as I'd like for video and pictures, but they'll be posted when I have them together.

I'll also start a thread with the results so we can talk it up.
I can give anyone who didn't go a little teaser, though - a custom E-Maxx with an RC-Monster "slipperential" took care of those silly nitro-burning trucks in The Challenge! :027:

standard_63 08.07.2006 02:55 PM

Microsoft also offers a free OSX Windows Media Player for .wmv files. It's on their website.

Oh I forgot: Great video and pics. Please keep them coming. Really makes me wish I was there. Maybe next year I can plan more for it.

Mikey 08.07.2006 05:38 PM

hey know what my car is in there too. this must have been on saturday before i broke. the little silver and black buggy with the white wing was mine. actually i think this is the one that i broke in lol. i was strugeling for traction the whole time. ironicly i was still qualified 5th for the amain lol.

Who had the Finedesign conversion buggy? How'd that thing fair? Are the electronics and battery laid out pretty nice?

If it came from Fine Design, I hate to say it but the conversion isn't gonna be all that great. I saw one of there buggy conversions on there site and the LiPo pack was RIGHT up next to a sharp edge were the servo plate was hacked. I wouldn't be surprised if it punctured a few packs...

Mikey 08.07.2006 07:14 PM

they weren't running too bad. one thermaled allowing monster mike to win in the brushless open. which was an exciting race beacuse they were battling it out.
