RC-Monster Mike 08.09.2006 02:13 PM

My favorite race was the unlimited class - it was nice to compete against the Kyosho and jammin truggies with my emaxx and come out on top. It was also the first time I ran over 15 minutes in a real race without a pit or a thermal. I was pretty psyched when I won. The Monster truck class was a lot of fun also. Josh from the Fine Design team drove quite well with his nitro Revo and we battled it out for both mains - exciting stuff for sure. Josh was a worhty competitor in the brushless open as well, though he thermaled and gave me the easy win(we were battling it out until he thermaled his brushless 1/8 buggy).

Mikey 08.09.2006 08:37 PM

lol yea you were pushing him around and stuff. i was just laughing so hard when i saw you start pushing him. hey i just noticed 7th in brushless open isn't bad considering i didn't make it through qualifier two. (i should have just ran my car slow in 2wd and finished without thermaling and i would have got second in the bl open)

Serum 08.10.2006 04:06 AM

Concrats Mike!

What did you win? :p

RC-Monster Mike 08.10.2006 07:39 AM

I won back some of the trophies I was up all night building, actually. I gave the prizes away to the 4th place driver in the classes I won.

Serum 08.10.2006 07:57 AM

That's pure character...

Mike Goodfella..

Serum 08.23.2006 12:43 PM

Mike, dual 8000 2S 2P packs? how do i see this? like 16000 mAh@ 14.8V?

squeeforever 08.23.2006 05:32 PM

Serum, if I understand your question right, heres the answer: there 2 2S2P 8000mah packs in series, made of 4000mah packs. So thats 8000mah @ 14.8V.

Finnster 08.25.2006 10:55 AM

This is over at Barnstormers right? I used to live just a mile or 2 away from there, but just really got into RC just after I moved away.:007: Can't believe one of the biggest BL events was in town (not much else was besides the Campies.)

My parents in law still live there. I really want to make it a point to go next year, tho I've never raced... haha we can always create a C-main for me :)

Gundam-Guy 08.30.2006 03:03 PM

hey mike how did that neu moter preform

Serum 08.30.2006 03:24 PM

Batfish 09.15.2006 08:53 PM

Sorry, Guys.
Things have been pretty busy around the homestead, and I've been spending a bunch of time looking at another job.
On the plus side, it looks like I'll be getting a new job soon and things should settle down a little :)

I will be running a nitro truggy in the ROAR Region 1 Nitro race tomorrow and Sunday, so definitely no update for those two days.

I will have something (pics AND video) posted over the next week.

Sorry about the delay.

coolhandcountry 09.16.2006 09:29 AM

It's OK joe. I hope it works out for the job. Hey if I had to choose which one MONEY or RC VIDEO for us to look at. Some one sure would have to wait as well. :D

HotnCold 09.16.2006 06:16 PM

Good luck with the job search Joe - BTW are you coming down here for the RCMTRA Worlds Race weekend - 9/30 - 10/01? Would be cool to have a couple more BL trucks to represent.....

Mikey 09.17.2006 08:23 PM

i'll be there no bl truck though. just my 8th scale. anyone want to lend me a bl truck? :027:

I'd love to, but I'm pretty much travelled out for the year. After not travelling at all for R/C for as long as I can remember, I've gone to 3 out-of-state weekend-long races, and one in-state.

On the plus side, I'm now the ROAR Region 1 Third Place Driver in Truggy :)

Oh, and I got an offer letter for a new job yesterday, so that's a good thing too!

HotnCold 09.17.2006 09:43 PM

Good luck with the new job prospect Joe.
