man, i think that over doing and re-defieing r/c. what would happen if you lost sigt of it or gas ran out?? or crashed!!!!

squeeforever 08.26.2006 11:12 PM

Thats really nothing new, Mike. I remember seeing one about 6 years ago, although it wasn't at all common back then.

Mike.L 08.26.2006 11:16 PM

ya, thats a hobbie ill never go into (flight) and anything with flying.

Ditto on that! I have a hard enough time to control a vehicle going in 2 dimensions, let alone 3.

squeeforever 08.26.2006 11:39 PM

lol...Yea...I might be a helicopter but thats about it...Not into the whole plane thing...Besides...My stepdad crashed a 3K dollar plane 2 minutes into flight because his nephew grabbed the wrong radio clip...I don't think I want a plane...

captain harlock 08.27.2006 02:55 AM

They're no good for sure. And tell me, who would like to pay 22000+ dollars on a small jet plane?:032:
It's been quite a pain for me to waste lots of money on my SuperFLMaxx and it's not an expensive jet plane. I hope the outcomes will be satisfying for my project, though.:002:

aqwut 08.27.2006 07:21 AM

Actually it's pretty awesome seeing those things fly... I've been flying for 2 years now.... I crash a lot, that's why I would never invest in a $3000 turbine jet.. I just fly my brushless F-27 Striker... Goes pretty fast.. faster than some turbine jets... Even for jets.. you gotta go brushless :)

captain harlock 08.27.2006 07:38 AM

Suit yourself, my friend. I'm out of it.:)

coolhandcountry 08.27.2006 08:37 AM

That was pretty cool. It was awesome sounding. I think it would try planes first. The jet looks expensive.

sjcrss 08.27.2006 09:26 AM

i wouldn't mind learningto fly planes & such....I just don't like the idea of if i crash..im sol then....

neweuser 08.27.2006 10:13 AM

The idea is way cool, fun to watch. But me, i need the power on the ground! With my truck, i can get enough air for the fun of it.

AMEN!

Mike.L 08.27.2006 11:52 AM

yes! fun to watch but a hole in your pocket!:D

Mikey 08.27.2006 07:04 PM

i think i read something about the fact that you need an actual liscense to even fly one of these. you have to go through this whole training thing pass all these tests and fly a certain number of hours with a certified instructor. that along with the price would keep me away.

Mike.L 08.27.2006 08:57 PM

people say that if we start of with one type of r/c, they say its like a gateway to a different type of r/c. until you try em all.

aqwut 08.28.2006 12:24 AM

how true... it all started from my Tyco Typhoon II and scorcher 6x6... how I have car, truck, boat, & jet, I don't know.

aqwut 08.28.2006 12:25 AM

Actually 26 and 27 of August there was an air show over here.. But it was cancelled due to rain. But a few guys still flew their Jets, They had everything F15, f16, f18.... i love the sound of the turbines goin' 120000 rpms....

captain harlock 08.28.2006 01:00 AM

I've never gone out of the electric r/c cars zone. Ever since I was in primary school. My big brothers actually were the ones to draw me into this hobby, but they no longer enjoy it due to their strains in this life. I also might get out of it by the time I get married and have my own family. Or probably I let my whole family get into the r/c addiction? who knows!!

starscream 08.28.2006 02:08 AM

I got into a decent plane rtr for $75 and upgraded to brushless for another $100. I like flying but I'm addicted to MT's.

Mike.L 08.28.2006 09:44 AM

ya same, its just way better then the planes, ahh the boats do seem cool but also isin't so interesting. i think its just the fact that the mts have many different opions, racing, bashing, and show!

OldSoldier 08.28.2006 10:03 AM

My brother and I bought our first T-Maxx about 5 years ago. My brother now has about 4 airplanes (three left...I was there when one bit the dust). I now have two airplanes (el cheapos) and two helicopters (Blade CX and Blade CP).. I can't fly the Blade CP yet...I've tried, but I get quite get it. I can fly the Blade CX pretty well. Its great for the off-season when its too cold for RC Cars and trucks.

Flying is awesome, my favourite's also MTs.. but the only reason for that is not too many people fly, and very limited to places we can fly.. Luckily the Mushroom farm I work in have a huge field and a couple of my buddies fly also.. It's pretty cool, when you can fly in any kind of wind. I even did 65km/h wind a few times...

I just picked up the F-27C (BRUSHLES & LiPo POWER!) as well the other day. Man what an awsome plane! 80+mph! Second plane I've ever flown. First was the SLO-V. Haha! Maybe 20mph max on that one! What a huge difference!
Love my trucks, helis and planes. I believe that if anyone starts off with just a cheap park flyer, they would be hooked.

aqwut 08.29.2006 05:45 AM

F-27 was my first plane.... and I still love flyin' it... you can buy those bigger Zepron Jets.. Too bad parkzone doesn't have any DF Jets...

dabid 08.31.2006 02:14 PM

I have a jet that looks like that myself...........the Air Hogs Aero Ace one!

sjcrss 08.31.2006 02:22 PM

Nice, very funny, so do my kids....that's a good one....
