alu 40 series rims ??

Are there any Aluminium rims which fit 40 series tires?
With the ones on the site here, under the Maxx sections, itīs not clear if they fit 40īs.

RC-Monster Mike 04.08.2005 08:52 PM

I have the new era 40 series aluminum wheels, but I haven't had the chance to list them. I will see about getting them on the site tonight.

Dafni 04.09.2005 01:05 PM

Do you know how much off-set they have?

Can you get hold of other brands as well?

luihed 04.10.2005 06:56 PM

Nice wheels Mike.... I just ordered a set..... here's a pic of the rims Mike is selling..

MaxxFusion 04.10.2005 08:42 PM

I like those. They are nice.

Dafni 04.11.2005 04:45 AM

I like the ones on Maxxfusions truck (Crowd Pleazer thread).

Maxxfusion, what brand are they. They look good. Came they polished, or do they have this satin finish??

I would love to get them. RC-Monster-Mike, can you get a hold of them?

RC-Monster Mike 04.11.2005 05:55 AM

Franks wheels have the satin finish and are from Ramtech. Unfortunately, they no longer make these wheels. I picked up some of their leftover wheels for another customer already.

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 11:32 AM

Mike. You say ramtech went out of business.

RC-Monster Mike 08.28.2005 11:39 AM

Sold the business, actually was my understanding. I think these wheels are now available agian, under a different business name, though (AJS machine). If there is a demand, I can certainly get the rims.

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 11:45 AM

I have a set. I just making sure incase i bash it up real bad. They are some good looking rims. I have the chrome plated ones.

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 12:46 PM

https://cybertechhosting.com/~aron/s...s/DSC03041.jpg

viper 40 series
https://cybertechhosting.com/~aron/s...s/DSC03039.jpg
both aluminum
and they look hella nice

Serum 08.28.2005 01:05 PM

Yeah, those things really look stunning!

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 01:32 PM

i want those viper 40s but it jus looks like the proline ones
http://www.prolineracing.com/proline...64/2664-01.jpg
if those aluminum ones get banged up it will be costly to replace
but the plastic ones is cheaper and easier to replace

Serum 08.28.2005 01:38 PM

yeah, and plastic is lighter..

those cheyennes from proline with the 23mm wheel hexes look sweet without the centercap!

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 01:47 PM

yeah i wanted to do that
capless cheyenne looks like
my plan was to use a H2 SUV and paint it blue with working lights
capless cheyenne wrapped with bowties

but now im gonna go with
CP2.0 - blue/white
white velocities w/ bow ties or crime fighters (which is better?)
white wing

the other t-maxx .15 i showd will converted to emaxx with a hummer h2 suv body but dunno wut color yet

Dafni 08.28.2005 02:11 PM

I heard CA glue won't stick to alu rims. Is this a real problem, or can this be solved somehow?

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 02:24 PM

somewhere in the forums i saw somebody used some loctite stuff to glue tires to alu

Hey daf. I used the ca glue and I really hadn't had a problem. You need to get a little primer to put on the tire groove of the rim. Stick like glue then. :) I have the chrome plated viper 40 series.

Dafni 08.28.2005 03:24 PM

Okay, thanks.

This wheel looks awesome! I'm just a sucker for wheels. You can't have enough wheels.

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 03:29 PM

I just don't like the weight of them. Hey got to look god some time. I have a spinner kit that works and looks real nice with them. I changed cvds so the spinners won't work for now. May have to modify the spinners to see if I can get them back on there. Have to take it out cruising.

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 06:14 PM

are those scratches i see on the lip?

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 07:12 PM

Hey they have been bashed. They also dirty. I put them on and run the truck. I bought them to run. So i did. One of them got a nice scratch. Still look good though from distance.

Shadow350Z 08.28.2005 07:47 PM

thats nice
if i get alu wheels i might jus use em for show

coolhandcountry 08.28.2005 08:53 PM

I been bashing the plastic lately. lighter weight. I have the the commando with beadlocks and I have some forty series velocity 6s with some light weights to.

Candyman2 08.31.2005 05:47 PM

I had some but was too scared to run them in case I chewed up where the hexes fit, or scratched them.
