Project High Voltage

2 Attachment(s)
It is a little early yet. I though I would give a sneak peak of my new project
to be. I have stripped it and put some stuff on ebay. It is fairly big truck. I
have motor in my possession as well. Well soon have esc as well. I won't be able
to get to finish until after christmas. Since it will be present to me from wife. :043:
Well I put the gmaxx on top just for a reference. I didn't have the rear
together at the time. But you get an idea of the length. I will get more pics
later. I have to change the center out with a diff. I am open to suggestions.

Cant wait to read more on this leroy! I too, am converting a hot bodies, model is yet to be known :)

nbcaznmaster 12.02.2006 05:18 PM

what car is that leroy? If you got anythinng for sale, IM me on aim!

BP-Revo 12.02.2006 05:35 PM

oo...I like where this is going...

do I see two 5S packs coming up? :D err...I actually dont think there is an ESC capable of that...nvm...

Serum 12.02.2006 06:20 PM

No, you can see 4 3S packs coming.. :p

coolhandcountry 12.02.2006 06:22 PM

I am planning 4 3s packs. :D
The 36120 can handle 10. I just not sure on the 12.
I going to run a 1950 17t lehner. I hope it has a little bit of power. :D

Serum 12.02.2006 06:27 PM

I doubt if it has got power Leroy... ;)

you could also sell the BK and leave the mechanical brakes and use the CC HV110..

coolhandcountry 12.02.2006 06:44 PM

But then wouldn't have any reverse. I don't like that idea. I hate to run
across a field cause I can't back up. That would suck.

In other words, it would be called "Leroy's fitness plan" :005: :027:

Hey, watch it! I'm a happy member of that plan as well! :)

coolhandcountry 12.02.2006 08:30 PM

I have had a few with out reverse. I don't like it. I much rather have it with.

sjcrss 12.02.2006 09:24 PM

yeah, that would mean you are getting exercise...lol...don't want any of that..... ( i know you ride your bike and all).....

crazyjr 12.02.2006 10:57 PM

I eliminate reverse just for that reason

MetalMan 12.03.2006 01:30 AM

Continuing off-topic- I disable reverse because it has screwed me up doing high speed runs (switching to reverse while braking and still going forward at 20+mph).

Looks like a great project, Leroy! Too bad we (and you!) have to wait until Christmas for it.

Serum 12.03.2006 03:25 AM

Nothing wrong with a bit of running Leroy.. :p

How about an elaborate swiching system that would reverse 2 motor wires - thus providing reverse - and, not to mention, an elaborate swithcing system, in one fell swoop..:005:

coolhandcountry 12.03.2006 09:52 AM

I did the motor conversion from 10t to 17t last night. It didn't go quit as easy
as the instructions made it sound. I got it though. Mike has my esc 36120
waiting to be shipped back to me. I am getting closer but yet still so far.
I wish I didn't have to wait until christmas.

coolhandcountry 12.25.2006 02:59 PM

I changed bodies to see how it fit. MGT pleazer body on it. http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...02/GTX2002.jpg

Sylvester 12.25.2006 03:07 PM

Looks good leroy, a bit small, but good. Cant wait to see how she turns out - a vid wil follow.... right?

P.S: Your door looks a little small.... LOL

crazyjr 12.25.2006 03:26 PM

Looks like a trailer

squeeforever 12.25.2006 03:38 PM

I'm wondering why he would need reverse in a large, open field...:032: :032:

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 02:42 PM

Updated pic. Diff mounted and waiting on dog bone. Still have to do some
other small things.

I like your Scale :)
I will brace center diff holders, so they will be tied on the bottom by chassis and on the top.

Artur

Nick 12.28.2006 03:41 PM

Looks ace. Me want.

neweuser 12.28.2006 05:19 PM

Very good job CHC! It's coming along nicely.

Serum 12.28.2006 05:22 PM

I am sure that are what the holes are for, Artur!

Nice done Leroy. Mike made you these? Now waiting for the savage shaft?

neweuser 12.28.2006 05:28 PM

Those look like the ones he made for him for the MGT I think? Maybe the maxx? Can't remember.

coolhandcountry 12.28.2006 07:38 PM

You right newe. That is the diff holder off the mgt project.
I do plan to brace the diff holder/ motot mount to the truck.
I just have to get or find the parts needed to do so.

Mike.L 12.28.2006 08:24 PM

leroy!

I LIKE IT!:018:

neweuser 12.29.2006 10:09 AM

Get some aluminum L brackets....they might work.

Sylvester 12.29.2006 10:35 AM

It looked like you had holes on the sides of the brackets there, I just thought that an L bracket would work nice for more stability. But it sounds like you got it!!!

coolhandcountry 12.29.2006 02:03 PM

Yeah it does. That was for mounting on mgt.
It is mounted to the chassis thru botom. I going to get some braceing higher up.

neweuser 12.29.2006 02:08 PM

I see, would that for bracing the back part too? Sounds like it''s work nice for you.

hyperasus 12.30.2006 01:50 AM

Love that body, and the bumpers. Where do I get mine?

sjcrss 12.31.2006 12:42 AM

is that a self portrait of you in the window of your body Leroy.....lol, anyways it is coming along nicely....great job

coolhandcountry 12.31.2006 10:56 AM

I guess you mean the pleazer body.
I won't tell. ;)
