Please help me out guys.. Brushless non-believer..

Guys, i have got a fellow rc-addict here who is kind of skeptical to brusless..

I have seen quite some video's over the time (1/10th onroad 1/8th off-road) of brushless vs nitro/ vs standard electric..

Anyone of you guys have got the vids saved or added to their favorites?

Thanks!

Sylvester 12.13.2006 03:25 PM

http://youtube.com/watch?v=p99dT5bm_vc its a revo converted on 14 cells with 9920 lehner 1950 7T. It wasnt set up properlly but sure as hell whipped ass. *its the blue hummer body with yellow dish rims.

Serum 12.13.2006 03:38 PM

Thanks Sylvester.

not terrible good drivers? (intention >> not to offend someone) :p

Sylvester 12.13.2006 03:40 PM

All beginners ;) I was just out there for fun, i got my b4 to race against better guys next season, and of course my new lsp once its done. Serum , if its not asking to much, could you check out my thread in general questions, need some assistance from you:D

coolhandcountry 12.13.2006 03:41 PM

Exactly what kind are you looking for rene? Any type.
You can go to photobucket and show him mine.

Serum 12.13.2006 03:48 PM

Will do Sylvester.

Leroy, I'm looking for head to head races.. (with BL taking the lead ofcourse LOL)

captanabolic 12.13.2006 04:12 PM

here is my brushless lst

Dafni 12.13.2006 04:13 PM

Well, you should just take him to a track and bust out one of your rides when the nitros are practicing :)

Sylvester 12.13.2006 04:14 PM

Hey daf, do you got any vids we could check out? I heard rumors a while ago that you and rene had your own bashing fun :)

Dafni 12.13.2006 04:18 PM

Aw, those were only short clips Rene made, nothing special really.

I need a camerman / editor to catch some heavy bashing or race action on video. Been thinking about this for so long, to bring out some nice clips.

Sylvester 12.13.2006 04:20 PM

Do you guys have those short clips? Anything is better than nothing. I too, will need a cameraman once im done with my "fleet."

What's wrong?? After he (the blue revo) cleared the field and the jam-up at the start, he laid down some nice laps!

Sylvester 12.13.2006 04:31 PM

That was a good revo, i hope i will like the lsp more than it, hope to get some nice lap times with it.

coolhandcountry 12.13.2006 04:51 PM

The ones that come to mind is the ones dabid and camel had.
The nitro getting owned.

sleebus.jones 12.13.2006 05:36 PM

Got quite a few brushless here: www.youtube.com/nolatron

Brushless R/Cs there are:

Associated:
RC18T (8000Kv)
RC10B4 (two different ones 5700Kv)
RC10T4 (two different ones 5700Kv)
TC4 (7700Kv)

Tamiya:
F201 (7700Kv)

It's the all castle channel, all the time!

No racing, but plenty of footage.

BlackedOutREVO 12.14.2006 01:54 AM

zeropointbug 12.14.2006 01:59 AM

One of the best brushless Revo videos, really shows the power...

5s LiPo, 8XL? I think, Mamba Max

mtucker 12.14.2006 03:48 AM

Video on the race track (1/8 electric converted buggy), although not actually racing.
http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...01892610&hl=en
The video was taken my first time to the track with the buggy.

Since then I did take 1st place in a 1/8 sportman B main. That was with the newer power system (Neu 1512 2.5D and Mamba Max ESC) It was only a B-main, but since it is 1/8 scale racing, every other buggy out there was nitro.

Matt

coolhandcountry 12.14.2006 10:21 AM

I think people doubt brushless cause they relate it to the old power.
Back years ago I would have doubted it as well. I now know better.

Hey, that's a pretty nice R/C! Have you posted anything on the build, or got some pics? I might be interested in putting one of those together myself.

Serum 12.14.2006 01:42 PM

Thanks everyone!

Matt; Thanks! nice buggy, nice driving, nice vid!

neweuser 12.14.2006 04:19 PM

I would still like to see BL against Nitro in a vid....racing

Serum 12.14.2006 05:12 PM

yep.. +1

BrianG 12.14.2006 06:28 PM

I saw a video once where a Nitro and a BL truck were tied to weighted baskets to see which one would win. Well, three guesses which won! However, I can't seem to find that video anymore. :(

smhertzog 12.14.2006 07:00 PM

I posted these earlier this summer

Savage decked out with an STS28 (3.4 hp)
Maiden voyage for the Emaxx still wasnt close to being set up.
It shows how a brushless can out torque a 3.4 hp nitro.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...80691493761562

This is a few laps later, as the Savage is getting lapped for the second time.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...76671010954799

I've tried to get new videos now that the Emaxx is setup but the Savage driver isnt to keen on it.:005:

I haven't posted much about it on RC-monster. Don't want to hi-jack the thread, but I will link three pictures (large size) that will let you see detail. THe battery is Enerland 5AH 4S.

Brushless Hyper 7 picture 1
Brushless Hyper 7 picture 2
Brushless Hyper 7 picture 3

Every since I bought my first brushless for an airplane, I can't stop the brushless trend. It is expensive, but low maintenance and high power.

Matt; Thanks! nice buggy, nice driving, nice vid!
Nice comments! Thanks.

Serum 12.17.2006 03:25 PM

 Is that MPH or KPH?.?.?.? Theres a big difference.

Cool vid anyway though:027:

GorillaMaxx360 12.18.2006 09:45 PM

KPH i think

BlackedOutREVO 12.18.2006 10:49 PM

yeh i dont know lol because it didnt look fast but who knows lol

BrianG 12.18.2006 10:58 PM

That had to be KPH. It wasn't even close to ~81 MPH. However, 81KPH calculates to 50.3MPH, which is just about right...

squeeforever 12.18.2006 11:45 PM

It's KPH.

GorillaMaxx360 12.18.2006 11:49 PM

Yep KPH
