New Traxxas CVDs for Maxx and Revo?

Anyone seen these yet? I found this add on the back cover of RC Car Action. It looks like the trraxxas brand of CVD's for the T-Maxx 3.3 and Revo. I cant find any info on the web about them yet so I scanned this from the magazine.

They look pretty nice. Rubber boots on both sides. Anyone seen these yet or know anything about them?

They look to be made for a 3.3 style knuckles.

do you guys know what kind of performance these have. Are they good and will hold up to brushless. Do you think the new design will work better or worse.

Serum 12.23.2006 11:45 AM

No one has them yet, so no one can tell you anything about them. Only guesses. and guessing for durability is not an option.

coolhandcountry 12.23.2006 05:01 PM

Do they fit the 3.3 or 2.5 version. It looks 3.3 but could be the pic.

jhautz 12.23.2006 06:13 PM

Doesnt say, but the tower description says Maxx/Revo so that would have to be 3.3.

Serum 12.23.2006 07:01 PM

Yeah, they claim a revo or T-maxx with optidrive on towers.. Since the with optidrive equiped maxx is the 3.3, they are for the revo/t-maxx 3.3

MetalMan 12.23.2006 10:24 PM

The Revo 2.5 has an Optidrive, but Traxxas didn't change the suspension on the 3.3 compared to the 2.5.

coolhandcountry 12.23.2006 11:28 PM

They changed the suspension on 3.3 tmaxx.

Serum 12.24.2006 05:08 AM

Yeah, that's why they say 'Revo, t-maxx with optidrive' look at their add

coolhandcountry 12.24.2006 11:05 AM

It all makes sense now. Hmm.
I wonder if they will have this as a option on a new model.

I meant they didn't change the suspension on the Revo when they put the 3.3 into it.

Just out of curiosity, what suspension changes did Traxxas make on the 3.3 T-Maxx? I work at a LHS, so this is some good info. to know. (We only have a 2.5 T-Maxx on display, so there isn't a 3.3 for me to look at.)

Only thing different is the colour of the shocks and the arms are slightly different to use the revo shafts. (they are notched)

the revo shafts have become updated to match the bulks of the maxx (they have got an X behind their partnumber now)

and it uses revo knuckles. as well as other turnbuckles. that's about it.

it uses different differential cases, 4 screws instead of 2, and grey updated bulks (not only changed the colour, but also a slightly different design)

coolhandcountry 12.24.2006 12:17 PM

The turnbuckles look fatter to me as well. I had some pics around here.
I could find them and send them to you if you like.
