G3 picco26 Tmaxx
 I will say sorry for my key board skills.I am waiting on a G3 set now and I have the new era ext chassis, alli 2speed box, alli diffs, hard diff gears, alli bulks all round,Integy steering blocks F/R
Titanium drive shafts all through and titanum turn buckles and alli skids F/R and center But only have a set of dynamite lower braces which I really dont want to put on with the G3 kit.I have seen a Tmaxx 21 with the G3 kit compleated and the owner prefered it to Super maxx parts he had swopped out for,not so strong but handling caracteristics were worth the down side which was all I needed to put my order in through Rich at RC HOPUPS the only man to see for Gparts in the uk just waiting on my bits now and looking for any tips, seems most of you are running Emaxx though |
What do you have for diffs? I see you mentioned aluminum diffs, but do you mean cases or cups? Both are going to be necessary with your .26 motor. Also, do you have the Robinson tranny gears? The forward only is a good choice for this application. The Dynamite lower braces will work fine for your truck. Also, which shocks do you run? How about steering servo? servo saver?

Does any one think or know if they will be racing Emaxx's at Barnstormers befor the summer season starts. I dont have an Emaxx (mabey some day when i get a job) but they are super fast and super cool and it is cool to watch them race. (The best part of watching an Emaxx is when Walter's driving and nosedives right on an unsuspecting stadium truck)
That was hilarious!
who's walt - LMAO - wait till you see what im bringing tonite - you dont wanna get hit with this beyotch..... -
MC used to bring his emaxx and mess around all the time - oh well - |
Wish I could be there. Hell I wish we had an indoor track here.
netman, did you change your sn to from netman-maxxfusion?
Walt, that was a nice buggy but i have to say im dissapointed that it didnt hit the celing like mikes Emaxx. It looked like Mike dented the celing or sumthing. Mike also copied you and landed on one of my fellow novice racer's stadium truck. Do u guys have a grudge agaits 2wd trucks or sumthing???
I have never, NEVER seen a Maxx so violent coming on power as Mikes yesterday - I think he was actually shaking when done running that Missle. I cant wait till I get all the stuff for mine. Damn you Mike, DAMN you for making me go to lipo - :) . That being said I CANT wait till my stuff comes in - Like a kid at X-mas. Ill bring my vid camera next week mike - Just AWESOME.....
I must admit, it is quite scary driving the beast on the tight, pole filled inside track. The ceiling hit was a surprise to me, especially considering I couldn't really use all the power available. I can't wait to dust everything in sight on the outside track.
Everything? - Except maybe couldbe another Gmaxx?? Possibly
Well, I know you always seem to make me outdo myself when I build your trucks, so I guess ALMOST everything!
When you hit the celing were you full throttle, half throttle???
What setup is Mike using....its making me interested...lol. Although I shouldnt be upgrading just yet because I am on my 3rd driveshaft (MIP).
Evan, I was not able to pull full throttle due to lack of traction. I was over half throttle, though and had to let off in an attempt to keep it fairly straight.
Norbert, I was using a Lehner basicxl 2400 motor and 18.5 volt (5s) LiPo batteries. What driveshaft are you breaking? A wheel shaft (diff to wheel)? I was actually using the stock plastic sliders on the e-maxx we are speaking of. My truck is just under 8 pounds RTR, though. |
I am constantly breaking the MIP front drive shaft from the transmission to the front diff. I tried using the plastic ones and I snapped them on the first run. Start to twist a little but snapped and the base where it connects to the yoke.
I use steel dogbones in the center. For the front, the Monster Pirate front center dogbone works.
Thanks Mike. I have to keep an eye out on ebay. My LHS hates ofna therefore they dont order or stock ofna.
Probably any front 1/8 buggy center bone would be a close enough size to make it work. The Monster Pirate is a reworked 1/8 buggy from years ago.
hey Lou has the track running counter-clockwise now.
If the double on the straight is still in the same place you'll have 2/3 of the straight to build up steam. I wonder where it will touch down now?:-) |
It tends to drop fast after it hits the ceiling!
well maybe with 40MPH of forward momentum it won't go up twards the roof so soon.LOL!
I just may have to get one...Hummm:-) |
If there is less pitch on the jump, I am quite sure I can land in the pits!
I accidentally took out a lightbulb tonight with the gmaxx. HotnCold and I both put on a little show with brushless LiPo power and we have a little video as well. It should show up in the video vault in the next day or so.
what lipos do you run on what chassis (guess gorilla carbon)
The truck I ran is a generation 1 purple G-maxx chassis with a Lehner basic xl 2400 motor and 5s Kokam 3200 LiPos.
Alum Gmaxx chassis, 10L, 5s 3200's, busted a$$ revo rims.... Man those revo rims looked nice but didnt hold up very well....
anyone have a prob. with the traxxas e-z start?
i get a clacking-ish noise from it when i try to start it . but when i loosen the glowplug it turns over fine but will not start any help please. |
Noise
First off - welcome to the site - I have yet to start my Revo yet - so the noise you are hearing is new to me - however - there are a lot of people who are at work now - so later on in the day - im sure you will get an answer for this Question...
You may also get a better response if you post this question in the revo forum.
Welcome aboard, quick revo! Tell me a little more about this noise. is it coming from the starter or the motor? My guess is that it is the motor trying to fire, but the glow plug may not be hot enough (new motor draw a bit of power during starting and reduces the power sent to the glow plug). Try using a seperate glow igniter for better results.
