Serum 01.05.2007 05:46 PM

Awesome Newe!

Procharged5.0 01.05.2007 06:12 PM

Pretty outrageous! I LIKE IT!

neweuser 01.05.2007 06:12 PM

thanks man, i'll get some more on there when i get the pics loaded up. still need the pics with the tires and stuff, kinda wanted to wait for the body to be done. I'm looking at candy blue and burgandy accents, hoping it'll turn out nice. Glad you like serum, pro c....:)

coolhandcountry 01.05.2007 06:45 PM

The last one looks like the wheel base is shorter. :D

neweuser 01.05.2007 06:48 PM

SA! LMAO, it would be!!!! I thought maybe a short version of a maxx would be a good piece of art and a good project!

Nick 01.05.2007 06:57 PM

I want one so bad. :(

neweuser 01.05.2007 06:59 PM

You'll get there! thanks

sjcrss 01.06.2007 12:52 AM

Nice Doc, from Cars the movie in the background, is that your next Bl project..... also, nice truck man, its coming along nicely....

GorillaMaxx360 01.06.2007 01:04 AM

Man where are the batteries at. Are you going to leave the maxx without the battery tray or is it just of in that picture. If so i am sorry for the comment because i am new to this concept of having no battery tray.

sjcrss 01.06.2007 10:36 AM

Newe, has slowly switched over from his carbon fibre setup, to the aluminum setup, if I remember from the last time I talked to him, all he has left to pick up is his gmaxx lower aluminum battery plate.....then he is all set to go.....

GorillaMaxx360 01.06.2007 12:37 PM

o so he still has to buy the bottem plate

sjcrss 01.06.2007 01:17 PM

yes, that is correct, that is all he has left to get I believe.....

captain harlock 01.07.2007 04:05 AM

This thing looks AMAZING! Pretty similar to mine.
Nice work, Troy.

pixelzombie 01.07.2007 04:16 AM

is that an emaxx without the tranny that i see?

captain harlock 01.07.2007 06:50 AM

The traxxas tranny is replaced with the more effecient RC-Monster V1 G2 Slipperential system. It's a combination of a centerdiff with a top shaft and a slipper unit. Wheelies are supposed to be dramatically decreased and handling is going to be as good as a race proven truggy.

pixelzombie 01.07.2007 01:04 PM

how much does this item cost and where can i get one?

coolhandcountry 01.07.2007 01:15 PM

The store right here has them. I not sure if in stock or not.

Mike.L 01.07.2007 04:06 PM

RCMM has out done himself! very nice newuser!

Sylvester 01.07.2007 04:09 PM

Looks great newe!

Go and put it on a scale, i wonder how much it will weight?!

Mike.L 01.07.2007 04:14 PM

i've been out of the loop for a while as i didn't know we could do without the tranny, so who has personal experience with such a set up?

sjcrss 01.08.2007 08:25 AM

I have ran mine quite a few times allready, and I love it....Also at the Bash, Mike was testing his, and i saw it run flawlessly, and he also ran away from the nitro's.....and won with ease

Mike.L 01.08.2007 09:23 AM

man i would pay to see mikes truck in person or atleast watch the race. Yea mike realy puts his custimers first in line.

captain harlock 01.08.2007 01:50 PM

If you put neweuser's truck next to Mike's, you would actually say they're identical with a few differences.

I love that quote! Can I use it?

Sounds like a George Bush Comment! :005:

captain harlock 01.08.2007 02:00 PM

Huh?!!

What's so funny about it?..:)

Procharged5.0 01.08.2007 02:06 PM

Identical but with a few differences...would make them Not-Identical. See?

Sorry, it's a Monday and I guess I'm easily amused............not much to laugh about today unfortunately.

captain harlock 01.08.2007 02:08 PM

Oops, you're absolutely right.

You startled me with the George Bush thingy. I thought I'm talking like a world leader or something...hehe!

This is actually kinda true. Differences: Mike runs VBS, nova shock towers, big bore shocks, I run the hybrids with UE shock towers and shocks. Not much else is really. I think Mike runs the proto type on his truck as well. As far as weight, my truck with the gmaxx suspension and the carbon fiber chassis with the batts (5s) weighed 11lbs on the nose. It seems heavier now. I run the 4s now, but the UE suspensino is a tad heavier than the gmaxx stuff. Mike said his truck weighed 10lbs or so. But I'm guessing mine now weighs in the 12 area....not sure though.

I also wanted to add a THANKS to all the nice comments to uncompleted version! LOL, I'll get some updates on tonight, thanks guys!

captain harlock 01.08.2007 02:13 PM

Strange!

He's using double shocks in each arm, but make note that the Nova shock towers he's using are far lighter than the knuckleheads.
Also, the towerless VBS he's using are supposed to be 50 grams lighter than any other bulkhead or bulkless available.
I have both the towerless VBS and the Hybrids and the difference in weight is quite obvious.

Well, the towers, the shocks are both lighter. Not strange really, I probably could lose weight in places....i also run a rx box, my wing is different than his also, which I modded to let it sit back further. My oil is thicker as well in the diffs. Who knows, my truck might be lighter than I think, not sure til I weigh it. I have a digital scale at work and have been pondering on the idea on bringing it in to weigh it.
Oh, my body is not silver either! Nor is it yellow! LOL :005: Mike just had a killer set up, it was so durable. I have some new pics to put on this evening of the tires and the completion...

captain harlock 01.08.2007 02:23 PM

You, Shayne and I might steal the lights this year with our trucks( mine is gonna be very similar to yours, Nelson).

Sounds great cp'n! Show us some pics when you get it up! To bad you are so far away!!!!!! WE all could do a very competative race!

captain harlock 01.08.2007 02:27 PM

Yeah! That would be wonderful. Probably I can make a trip to America and meet up with you guys. That wont happen anytime soon, though.

My truck is mostly finished.
I only need to spray and decorate the body. Solder and prepare my setup. Get some parts from Mike and pictures will be posted soon after.
