NICE leroy...just notice the new catigory!

GorillaMaxx360 01.15.2007 12:18 PM

I Like rock crawlers especially the TXT nice

coolhandcountry 01.15.2007 02:59 PM

I figured up that my ratio was to high. I started and made me a new
reduction for it and changed where the motor mounted.

Looking good!:)

Cool txt! Why not use a GD600 for gear reduction? I have put mine through a 22t titan on 10 cells, 55t lathe on 12 cells, and a stock sliver can on 12 cells; it never failed me. (I think I put an HV-maxx on it once too...) I comes stock with a 5mm out put shaft that I milled down to 3mm with no adverse affects... (to accept 3mm pinions)

bye :018:

coolhandcountry 01.15.2007 04:18 PM

With the gd600 the motor would have been up against the battery tray.
The battery tray hold the servo for shifting as well. So I wanted to move it
to rear. The motor that is. I took it out for a test run. It was pretty neat.
Nothing like a maxx handles.

shaunsmaxx 01.15.2007 05:47 PM

Nice lookin truck. How does it perform?

Shaun

Serum 01.15.2007 05:57 PM

great man!!

you even have got a new part on the forum.. :p

Sylvester 01.15.2007 07:29 PM

Nice! Like the new part of this forum! :)

coolhandcountry 01.15.2007 07:36 PM

Motor on truck is a feigao 12s.
I am running a 18.97 schulze esc.
I am running a 2s lipo as well.
Performane is ok. I need lockers.
I do have some body twist in it as well. will see about fixing that as well.
Overall am fairly happy with truck.
Like the way it looks more than anything.

Sylvester 01.15.2007 07:39 PM

What mah pack are you using, leroy?
Thats one thing for sure ; it looks good!
What are you crawling over these days, dude?! :)

coolhandcountry 01.15.2007 07:54 PM

I used a 6000 mah pack. Don't know run time cause didn't have a lvc.
I just played around for about 20 mins or so. I got some bricks.
wood pile. Then I have a stream and some logs in the woods to play on.

Sylvester 01.15.2007 07:59 PM

Sounds like fun! I bet with 6000mah it will run for a long time.

coolhandcountry 01.15.2007 08:06 PM

Well if not just add a 8000 in it. :d
It fits as well. If to slow I can step up on the voltage as well.

cemetery gates 01.15.2007 08:21 PM

Just for reference, in my tlt-1 with an e-maxx transmission geared 12/76 +GD600 @3.8:1 with a kyosho x-speed motor (22t like traxxas titan) running 1600mah 2/3a 10 cell pack I got 55min to an hour of run time...

Bye:018:

coolhandcountry 01.27.2007 01:11 PM

I did me some modding. I changed the shocks on it to ofna front buggy
shocks. I moved the lower links up for more clearance. It seems to have
helped out some. The shocks seem to help the torque twist. I seen on another
forum that some one has a 4 t0 1 ratio for the front and back diffs. Does
any one know where to get this?
http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...txt/txt007.jpg

GorillaMaxx360 01.27.2007 04:58 PM

nice i bet those ofna shock work flawlessly nice.

jnev 01.27.2007 05:35 PM

Looks very nice. Have fun with it. :027:

coolhandcountry 01.27.2007 06:01 PM

I plan to have fun. I dont done the diffs to solid all wheel drive. :D

Procharged5.0 01.29.2007 03:55 PM

Great looking truck CHC!

neweuser 01.29.2007 06:53 PM

Very good job indeed! Nice project! I like!

Sylvester 01.29.2007 07:03 PM

We (or atleast I) would love to see a video of this run, if its too much to ask Leroy! :)

coolhandcountry 01.29.2007 08:36 PM

I want to get it to do well before a vid. I am not happy with the performance yet. It may see a few more changes before video. I will surely post one when
get it. I got a few changes left before i do a video.

jollyjumper 01.30.2007 12:19 PM

nice work.
can you show me the tranny mounts?
thanks, mike.

coolhandcountry 01.30.2007 06:45 PM

The tranny mounts come from this place. www.rc4wd.com I got them with
truck. It also had the battery plate to.

coolhandcountry 02.02.2007 03:41 PM

I did some more mods to it. I moved some links around cut the chassis for more ground clearance.

http://i107.photobucket.com/albums/m...txt/txt008.jpg

neweuser 02.02.2007 03:43 PM

Does that have rear steering too? Also, how does the BL work for crawling? Any cogging issues?

Procharged5.0 02.02.2007 04:12 PM

2Nice!

jnev 02.03.2007 01:02 PM

I'll say it again... Its sweeet.

coolhandcountry 02.03.2007 02:49 PM

I put an order in for a new esc. I am going mamba max on it.

Sylvester 02.03.2007 08:41 PM

What motor leroy? 4600 or 5700? Or are you using the 12s on the MM.

coolhandcountry 02.03.2007 08:46 PM

I just ordered the esc. Going to keep the 12s for now. I may change that out at a later date. I am going for other stuff at moment.

Sylvester 02.03.2007 08:52 PM

Ok. What other stuff are you talking about?

rc4x4nut 02.08.2007 04:03 PM

cool, I read that you needed diff lockers. I have 2 brand new ones here that were made by a friend of mine from RCAlloys. Make me an offer as I have no use for them right now.

http://www.rcalloys.com/pricelist/txtspool.html

coolhandcountry 02.08.2007 04:37 PM

I got my diffs locked at moment. I may have something else in the future to
replace them. I am waiting on the word. I got to test truck yesturday. It
does better since longer. It has good articaultion with not much torque roll.
New parts consisted of new radio, servo, and few other small items.

coolhandcountry 03.16.2008 09:01 AM

This project is going to be sold. Thanks for looking :)

EGRESSor 06.12.2008 03:40 AM

DRIFT_BUGGY 06.12.2008 03:48 AM

So did it end up selling?
