heres some pics of my set up it works!! just got the motor mount done, worked perfect, now i just need to get some good power and charger, was pretty slow with 2 2000mah batts. and hv maxx 4.5

jnev 01.27.2007 01:42 AM

It looks awesome. You may want to upgrade to deans plugs though.

jhautz 01.27.2007 02:11 AM

Yea. Looks realy good. But you are right about those batteries.... They are poop.

crazyjr 01.27.2007 02:21 AM

them poor batteries had to be screaming for mercy on that 4.5

entjoles 01.27.2007 03:22 AM

yep they got a little warm after 5 min, i just need to get a charger and good packs to start, then ill work into lipo

Serum 01.27.2007 03:29 AM

Another E-revo! good news!! Nice job, indeed, the batteries are the source for the power of the setup, if they can't hold up with the setup, the setup won't be as powerfull as it should be.

With the right cells, it's a fast setup, running that 2 speed transmission!

Sylvester 01.27.2007 11:44 AM

Get some real batteries and report on them, im sure you will love the power.

entjoles 01.27.2007 09:10 PM

yeah ill let you know , im thinking maxamps 8ooomah @ 14.8, with mrc 989 charger, but am moving next weekend across country so no extra cash at this time

squeeforever 01.27.2007 09:13 PM

Those sound like a good choice.

entjoles 01.27.2007 09:36 PM

what balancer works good with maxamps?

Procharged5.0 01.27.2007 10:11 PM

Good luck with the move! Hope nothing gets lost!

squeeforever 01.27.2007 10:20 PM

I would go with the LBA10.

Sylvester 01.27.2007 11:08 PM

I second the LBA10. Great for the money.

entjoles 01.27.2007 11:09 PM

who makes that lba10

Sylvester 01.27.2007 11:10 PM

Hyperion.

entjoles 01.27.2007 11:13 PM

thanks

Is that LiPo good for my e-revo: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...P80003s&cat=18 ? If i buy it, i using it with Mamba Max 5700Kv combo. I take pictures of my e-revo soon, is not ready yet. Sorry my bad english, im coming from Finland and i dont speak so good...

Sylvester 01.28.2007 04:02 PM

Welcome to the forums!
The 5700 isnt enough to pull a revo. If you were to use a mamba maxx esc, with a 7xl motor, on 4s lipo it would be ok.

Why isnt work? I have read in castle creations home page 4s lipo can broke mamba max controller, because over 12 volt:010: Have i read wrong or something?

Sylvester 01.28.2007 04:32 PM

The 5700kv motor will get too hot for a revo. Some people have ran the mamba with 5s lipo. 4s lipo will work fine on it.

Some have run 5s or even 6s with no problems...yet. However, 4s should be perfectly fine since it's the same as 12 cells, which it does support. The manual even states a built-in cutoff for 4s.

You could maybe run dual 4600 systems on a Revo without overheating. But definintely not one, let alone a 5700.

Too late, i have buy it Mamba Max 5700Kv combo in weak ago in there: http://www.b-p-p.com ... But i can try sell this motor ( if someone buy it ) and buy 4600Kv motor.

Sylvester 01.28.2007 05:16 PM

Even the 4600 is not reccomended. Get a XL motor.

Slow speed if i get XL motor, I must get 2 x 11.1v 8000mAh LiPo if I want speed. I dont have so much money get two 11.1v 8000mAh LiPo and XL motor:frown: If you know motor what is NOT expensive but it was good motor, tell me. I cant use two LiPo pack, i can use only one...

crazyjr 01.29.2007 01:32 PM

E-revolution, with a 7xl, 4s lipo will get you good speed, My Gmaxx is running a 7XL, MM and 5s with 13/40 and a slipperential (equivilent to a 13/51 strobe setup on an Emaxx transmission) and it runs in the 40's, $s lipo's and a 15 tooth pinion should be good for mid to upper 30's easy. I'll test the 4s with current gearing and see how fast some time today and report back

What motor is it what you have? What motor is good for my e-revo if i have revo 3.3 chassis and e-maxx transmission? And again, is that: http://www.rc-monster.com/proddetail...P80003s&cat=18 good lipo for my e-revo? I think that 11.1v 8000mAh lipo is enough. If is not enough, what is enough:007:? With MM can use only 6-12 NiCad/NiMH or 2-3s LiPo. <---This mean this lipo what i show is enough, if im not wrong:032:

E rev- Go with a 7xl / MM and 4s Lipo, use a ubec or a rx pack....you would be good to go.

E-Revolution 01.29.2007 02:23 PM

Thanks, neweuser ! But im suprised, anyone guys in here Finland dont use more celss than 12 NiCad/NiMH, or 2-3s LiPos, because they dont know can use more celss... You mean can use more celss than there read: http://www.castlecreations.com/products/mamba_max.html ?

Many here have tested the MM using a ubec on 4-5s with success. As crazy said, he has a 4s 7xl/mm set up in his truck with no probs.

actually the current setup is for 5s, but not tested for heat

the 8000 4s packs will be great for you're setup with a 7XL. I'd go woth 4s over 3s as the power will be better. all you need to run this pack is a UBEC, because the internal BEC can't handle the extra voltage of the 4s pack
