Sylvester 02.06.2007 05:03 PM

Sylvester 02.06.2007 06:12 PM

Lol. In fact, you can wear 24 different chains at once! ;)

Gundam-Guy 02.06.2007 09:49 PM

TruckBasher 02.06.2007 10:56 PM

you will be amazed and would want to mount them immediately after seeing them...

Mines got mounted the second i opened the package box. Too bad for me i dont have the shocks to mount them with the tower :(...

coolhandcountry 02.06.2007 11:48 PM

I like the adjustiblity of them.

neweuser 02.07.2007 12:18 PM

The adjustability is great! Plus they look pretty snazzy with strength!

Serum 02.07.2007 01:23 PM

yeah, no wonder they look strong, at 1/2" thick.. :p

they did an awesome job on them..

Nah, I was saying they look snazzy! And yes, they are strong too....hehe, you funny guy Serum!

coolhandcountry 02.07.2007 02:29 PM

For that thickness that are accually fairly light.

I agree coolhand. That is one nice thing about 6061 aluminum. 7075 tends to be a bit heavier.

GorillaMaxx360 02.07.2007 05:56 PM

they are cool no doubt i dont think i will or i could even think of anything i could even jump to break those.

EVERYTHING CAN BREAK! lol

GorillaMaxx360 02.07.2007 06:06 PM

yes you are right but seriously i have not even seen any body with a broken shock tower and if it did brake it would have to be a HUGE jump but yes nothing is indestructable.

Very true! I'm not knocking them, just saying that everything has it's breaking point sometime or another realistically. But the FLM are definately durable. Best bang for the buck!

GorillaMaxx360 02.07.2007 06:38 PM

has anybody you know broken the shock tower of the chassis? Just curious

I don't. Maybe cuz they are connected to the bulks and not the chassis though! :005: But seriously, no, not personally.

revopqrs 02.08.2007 01:03 AM

they are pretty light really... they are huge!!

heres the stock weight.

glad i got em, great purchase!:027:

Sylvester 02.08.2007 04:59 PM

They are a bit heavier.. but DAMN, those are nice! I doubt the weight will really affect anything.

Mike.L 02.08.2007 05:31 PM

yeah nice milled and ready to be mounted!

Sylvester 02.08.2007 05:38 PM

@revo - Can you check how thick they are in mm? I was just wondering...

Mike.L 02.08.2007 05:41 PM

id say there about 6-7mm? maby more!

 I wouldnt even say they were more than 4.5mm..

revopqrs 02.08.2007 06:00 PM

well.... my my jammin fte has 5.2mm towers, and the flm are quite a bit thicker. they measure 3/8th inch exactly. the 5.2mm measure less than a quarter in. i have nothing to measure mm..... not sure of the conversion? im guessing 9mm ish....:028:

Sylvester 02.08.2007 06:10 PM

Well i dont know, my motor mount for my LSP looks similar maybe thinker and only measures 5.8mm narrowed down. Either way, its THICK!

revopqrs 02.08.2007 07:36 PM

did the conversion... 9.398mm

coolhandcountry 02.08.2007 08:23 PM

I measure mine at 9mm. It could be give or take a few with a caliper.

Sylvester 02.08.2007 08:33 PM

Wow! Sorry i must have been waaayy off with my caliper! My lsp motor mount is 9.5mm thick! But my inner depth is a little smaller so it is easier to mount pinions.

coolhandcountry 02.08.2007 08:47 PM

You just forgot the 5 mm in front of it. :D

Sylvester 02.08.2007 08:50 PM

Lol. My old caliper is busted, shows its age anyways, 6+ years old, my new one should last about as long since it is practicly the same;)

Gundam-Guy 02.09.2007 10:53 PM

got it today man are these nice so very shiny and waiting to be run in to the ground

suicideneil 02.10.2007 03:37 PM

Ooooooohhhh, they are very, very nice arent they. May have to get a set to swap with the Gmaxx ones when the time comes- not very expensive either compared to some shock towers- and they offer stupidly good levels of adjustability. Niceeee.
