That is one awesome crawler. That sia really sweet crawling spot as well... right on the beach.

I love that 1st picture, maybe photoshop the people out, and that belongs on the cover of a magazine. :027:

Mr.lst 03.07.2007 08:02 AM

It is very nice was it hard to build?

suicideneil 03.07.2007 04:59 PM

Nice man. Is that a custom made transfer box or an 'off the shelf' item? Definately got a madmax look about it.

EGRESSor 03.08.2007 05:17 PM

i needed 3 weeks to build the car
and all the rough looking stuff is made by me :005:

cembom 03.11.2007 11:14 AM

Hey thats nice lookin. Where can you still get the tamiya monsters? I can find the clod and txt on tower but thats about it.

coolhandcountry 03.11.2007 11:47 AM

What other trucks were you looking for? The TXT-1 is discontinued now, but the superclodbuster is still for sale. Tamiya also used to sell the bullhead (which was almost identical to the clod), and the lunchbox, but they never really made any big scale monster trucks apart from that, I think.....

squeeforever 03.11.2007 02:10 PM

You forgot the Juggernaut and Juggernaut II.

suicideneil 03.11.2007 02:15 PM

Oh yeah, but those are long discontinued too- the TXT-1 replaced the Juggernaut2, essentially the same with a new chassis, suspension and tweaked tranny etc. They are hard to come by but they do crop up on ebay quite frequently so thats the best place to find one. I fell in love with the Juggernaut when it was first released, but I couldnt afford it back then so I got a Madbull instead- big wheels and all that......

squeeforever 03.11.2007 02:51 PM

Yea, I to want one, but I'm not really interested in a used one. Only new and those aren't cheap.

suicideneil 03.11.2007 03:09 PM

Hmm, good luck finding one. Best bet is either a shelf queen (they do come up once in a while), or have a look on www.tamiyaclub.com - lots of enthusiasts with NIB models willing to trade/sell, but like you said it still wont be cheap.... hind sight is such a wonderful thing; If I had bought one about 6/7 years back it would be worth more than double to the right person these days.

coolhandcountry 03.11.2007 09:19 PM

When did the txt go discontinued?
You could still buy them a few weeks ago.
You can still buy the txt on tower.
Pretty sure mike can get it as well.

cembom 03.11.2007 10:49 PM

I kinda wanted a jug. I think the lunch box is cheapest though but I would have to look at the chassis and see if it is nice. Also if it uses two motors I'll have an esc and motors free soon.
