what length shaft for front center FLM chassis?
 

I know it comes with the shaft for rear, but what about the front? What shaft can i use, I do have the RC-Monster extended CV's, will the short one be the right length? Or do I have to use a slider shaft?

zeropointbug i have asked this question before because i have a FLM chassis and i am pretty sure they told me 72mm. also 72mm is stock for the front the only difference in the gmaxx chassis is the extended rear the front is the same length same with the FLM chassis it is only extended in the rear. the 72mm should work because it is made to replace the stock part that is standard length. wait just to be sure or pm serum or one of the other guys that are high on the totem pole they should be able to help, but i am pretty sure it is 72mm that mike sells.

That sounds right because the MIP coupler at the tranny output shaft is about 10-11mm plus the 72mm shaft equals 83mm. At any rate the MIP kit works. I personally would have liked to get a set of the T-Bonz (by TSAIS)center shafts...they are nice. They have a notched cross pin and c-clip to assure that they stay together. I use them for my drive shafts but at the time I was building, the T-Bonz center shafts were not available.

oh okay, yah that makes sense that only the rear shaft would be extended, just to keep things somewhat standard, and easy to adapt too...

When i ran my flm chassis. I used the ue ti shafts. I used a 70 up front and a 105 in rear.

I already have the extended steel shaft's Mike sells, I'm going to use them.

I also am using new MIP Shiny CVD's all around, Maximizer diff in rear, and older Kippster diff in front. I am going to get some Integy diff cases for now, I want to get some hybrid bulks eventually, OR some UE bulkless victories.

With stock diffs standard maxx stuff is OK but carefull with hybrids - > thanks to longer diff pinion + drivecup you need shorter dogbone. I have a temporary solution in rasing the transmission by about 8mm but Mike is making me custom dogbones.

...Hardened steel? Heating steel, and rapidly cooling makes it very hard on the surface.

dont mean to hijack but will the shafts that mike designed for the g2 work with the flm or do the lengths differ?

That's exactly what we are talking about my friend!

We are figuring the front one works, and we don't know about the rear... but the FLM chassis comes WITH a rear shaft anyways. It's quite the deal for $90!
