Congrats Monster Mike!

Congratulations to Mike for taking 3rd (?) at Monster Madness, electric truck.
I just spotted the podium pic at RCZ. Any other forum members who participated?? |
Mike took down 2nd with his Electric 8T. I'm in the center with my Electric CRT but to be honest, we were all WAY outclassed by Keith Leonard (Electric 8T) who broke and DNF'd. Alex Byron held the E-Maxx torch taking down 3rd. All brushless. Sad we had such a poor turnout. I was pleased that my lap times with my E-CRT were better than my Nitro CRT. I've got a funny picture of Mike who was struggling all weekend long with his Nitro CRT, when I download from my camera I'll have to post it. Nitromares are one of the big reason we all love our electrics!

Oh, sorry Mac, I only recognise the Monster :) Congrats anyway!
Do you have an idea what Keith was runniing in his 8T? And what means DNF'd? |
Only second?... Strange, for some reason I had imagined Mike looking much older & greyer......
|
DNF= did not finish
|
Must have been his lucky shell! :)

Congrats MacII and Mike. Great job to both of you!!
|
Daf; i guess you painted that shell?
|
As if you don't know  LOL
Yes, and it's a big honor for me to see it on Mikes' truck. And on the podium-pic too! Wow! I can't take credit for the design. Mike asked for something "easily visible", and I saw that design and could not resist :013: |
In person the paint job is even better. Also I know a few people who came to look at the trucks not making the loud noise and many commented on that shell...

Question is just what kind of comments were made :032: I hope some good ones too :005: |
Daf, I'm sure with your natural talent for painting and some knowledge gained at CFX the body was a hit and all of the comments were positive.

Keith's brother is Chris Fine, Keith actually has his own shop called Mid-Hudson Hobbies. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think he is one of the best drivers I've ever seen. He made the A main of Truggy and every time he comes to my local track he just mops everyone up. The only time someone else wins is when he breaks...the way he drives is very different from anyone else...always on the edge and at a big track like Wolcott he does very well.

thanks dave, and congrats on your win. hopefully I will be able to join you guys next time so we can add another electric to the truggy class.
