has anyone used the new software for their mamba max?

I am a little concerned with downloading the new software because of the problems castle had last time. If anyone has used it let me know if you have had any trouble. thanks

what version is the new version?

I recently went to v1.09 with no issues. Is that the new software your talking about?

Tazz 09.02.2007 10:34 AM

I am still using the 2.20 version. When I went to the 3.0 version it installed fine but would not recognize any of my esc's so I went back to the 2.20 ver. and everything has worked fine.

jhautz 09.02.2007 10:41 AM

Anyone have any idea why the computer doesn't recognize mine? I have XP and the 1.0 CD. I install it, it won't recognize the MM. I then updated it to 3.0, then it still wouldn't. It did when I first got it from from a friend, but when I was adjusting things, I updated the software on it and it never recognized it again. It won't work in the truck either. Anyone ever have this problem?

Did you install it right? Cause I had to go into to my control panel to install it right. I think.

Mine worked with no problems, I downloaded from site on my laptop and no problems

Hickoryhead 09.03.2007 04:57 AM

I can't remember where I read it but I read that XP works best with 3.0. Vista with 2.0. Not sure where I read it but I have the 2.0 CD. I installed in on 2 different Sony Laptops. 2.0 would not see the ESC but would open with XP. When it opened up the first time it asked to update the software. I did and things worked after that on that laptop. I did the same on my new laptop with Vista. I tried to open the link for the software and a window poped up stating there was an installment problem after I upgraded. I uninstalled all the software from the laptop and reinstalled the CD with 2.0. After I reinstalled it I declined the update. Works perfectly. You might want to find some one in your area or your LHS to see if there is a 2.0 disk some one has for you to borrow. If 1.0 and 3.0 are not working I would say try 2.0. If that fails call Castle directly. It would be a ESC USB problem at that point.

Zero problems with 3.0

DickyT 09.04.2007 08:35 AM

I run 3.0 on XP Pro SP2 and Vista, both without issue.

hyperasus 09.05.2007 02:49 PM

I have not tried it on Vista64, but it makes sense tha it would not work. I have Vista Enterprise and it works on that system, it is not 64 bit though.

V3.0 and V3.01 wouldn't work on my laptop with Vista, but I remembered the compatability tab under properties for the castlelink.exe. I choose Win XP (service pack 2) and did the exe. with the compatiability and it works fine now.
