Idlers??
Where can i get metal idlers and trans gears for my E?
I know unlimited Engineering has metal idlers but they are out of stock and i dont have a clue where to get metal transmision gears |
Welcome aboard, Shadow. Sit tight for a day or two and I will have my own hardened steel idler gears for the e-maxx tranny. Hopefully around Wednesday!
nice nice
not really new to the RC scene but new to this board how much would it cost? |
Great news Mike! Is it made lightweight as well?
The UE's have those holes drilled in them, and Mike's will have a groove cut out to reduce wight.
I got this info from a reliable source ;) |
Okay.. Lightweight that is.. Thanks Daniel!
thats good to hear
how much do you guys think he would sell em for? |
You can put me down for a set :D Don't think the stockers are gonna hold up for much longer :p
No problem. $15 for a single gear, $25 for a pair.
GREAT!
ill reserve a set! 25 plus S&H right? are they gonna be in the shop section on the web? |
Yes, As soon as I get them, I will list them in a few sections so they are easy to find(brushless, new stuff, e-maxx etc.).
how it goes with those idlers mike?
They have not shown up yet. :(
awwwwww
Good news and bad news:
Good news: I got some steel idlers in today(along with some nice 5mm bore 14,16 and 20 tooth mod 1 pinions)! Bad news: they don't have the radial groove and they are not case hardened(I am sure they will hold up, but I fear they will wear over time and eventually develop a sharp edge, which will cut/strip the output gear). The hardened, grooved idlers should be along in the very near future. |
exactly when will "near future" be cuz i dont wanna buy the unhardened ones
Any day now. If I knew exactly when I would have them, I would surely post the info.
coo coo ill wait for the hardened ones then =)
Looking like I should have the hardened idlers Wednesday. I will get them listed this weekend.
as soon as those idlers hit the shop ill order em
ill have to by then....
im wondering mike..
where r u located? |
Orange County, NY.
New York?
uhh how much would be shipping? from there to CA? |
$3.85
You 'mericans are just lucky! I wish Mike would live on my continent.
Not even 4bucks for shipping, with the infamous quickness of RC-Monster, makes a heck of a good deal. Get them while theyr hot, boys! |
yeah ima get those idlers for sure
i think my idlers r starting to wear out cuz since the last time i ran my E the sound in the tranny is different now |
hows the idlers coming along?
They didn't show today. Most likely, they will be here tomorrow. they are on the way, but not here yet. I will put them in stock as soon as I see them. I will list them in the gears/tranny parts section tonight.

I want some, too. Will hook all the boys here up. Finally a non-UE idler, the wait was worth it.
Looks like good quality, Mike. And the pic is not that bad.;) Mike, the input gears, are they hardened? |
