That cage looks great.

jnev 09.13.2007 11:09 AM

Thats one of the cleanest MGT conversions i have seen. Are those the stock a-arms...? For some reason it looks a lot wider than usual. :oh: But then again, it could just be me.

no mods 09.13.2007 11:54 AM

its offset built into the maxx size wheels

DickyT 09.13.2007 01:36 PM

Very nice, probably the niceset converted MGT I've seen. that cage is just sick!

mkrusedc 09.13.2007 04:40 PM

Very nice and like everyone above sweet cage!

squeeforever 09.13.2007 07:36 PM

Nice! I too like that cage.

Cool conversion that's for sure, I've always wanted a monster gt how does it handle?

Thats awesome, love the music on it too!

captain harlock 09.14.2007 05:26 PM

Cool. MGT is not my favorite truck, though.

jnev 09.14.2007 06:06 PM

Very nice video. Favorite part was the very end in slow motion of the the truck sliding and just barely missing the camera. Very cool footage.

jhautz 09.15.2007 01:20 AM

Sweet!

:great:I am nominating you for an Oscar! Best editing in a RC Video! :mdr:

Thats a catagory right???

Seriuosly. Thats the best edited Home brewed rc vid Ive seen. Better than some actual factiry edits IMO.

Oh yea. I like the truck too.

hey thanks! I prolly could have made it better if i had someone helping me film (to bad GF was @ work). Im new to the video editing and only using the stock Microsoft video editor that comes with windows. im sure there are better things to use but I can't justify spending money on a program to make internet vids haha. if someone knows of a vid program that is worth checking out and perhaps is free or uber cheap im down.

ps camera about licked it at the end. I didn't' intend on getting that close but my 16lb donut mobile isn't exactly on rails at 35 mph

Patrick 09.15.2007 08:33 AM

I like the end as well, looked like things were going to get ugly there for a sec. And that rock bouncing into the camera topped it off.
Looked like getting that battery in one handed was a bit tricky  Nice roll cage though.
How do you like that 1515 2.5d, quark and 5s combo? That's what I use in my maxx and I think it's a great setup.
Are those tires about 170mm in diameter and very hard with no foam inserts? A nitro car dad bought about 5 years ago came with tires that looked like that. I raced them with my e-maxx for a fair while. They worked well, even though there was no traction (full throttle drifting the whole way:yes:) that was when it was stock though.

no mods 09.15.2007 02:01 PM

they are the stock mgt tires i boiled off the stock rim, i think there a hair under 180. they do really good i wanted a light weight tire that had the same or similar rolling diameter as the stock stuff to i figured the cheapest way was to stick with the stock rubber. the tires do have foam insert but its that really crappy foam that brakes down not the hi density PE. i really i enjoy building them the most, driving them around second so racing is really out of the question. i just wanted something purpose build go all/anywhere brute.
