Losi is going brushless and its not a Novak

The light of mainstream is uppon us, the More manufacturers jump on, the more accepted it will become. Losi has joined the brushless wars, with 1/10, 1/18, and 1/36 systems
here is the link to the 1/10 and 1/18 systems
http://rccaraction.com/ME2/dirmod.as...BC156B81E080E1
and here is the 1/36 one
http://209.196.57.91/ME2/dirmod.asp?...41612803AB344A
this is a big time for brushless:yipi::mdr::party:

Dafni 10.11.2007 05:18 PM

We are getting there, I tell you.
Same WILL happen with 1/8, one fine day.

coolhandcountry 10.11.2007 06:41 PM

Now for a full Monster truck out of factory with brushless. :)

Thunderbruiser 10.11.2007 07:30 PM

i can see traxxas re doing the e-maxx with a bl system soon...and others will follow as this trend is really growing..too bad i race a lot of nitro now..but bl bug is slowly starting to bite me again

zeropointbug 10.11.2007 07:40 PM

I think they might be making a brushless Revo soon... we were discussing how they are discounting the emaxx and selling all stock. Maybe something is coming, and I sure hope it has something to do with a large electric (BL) monster truck.

lincpimp 10.11.2007 07:54 PM

Who knows, Traxxas may be pumping all of their R&D resources into producing a vxl 4tec. I can't wait, about to pee my pants in anticipation:whistle:

I do hope they produce some sore of brushless mt, maxx or revo. It will spur the other mfgs to make their own too, and all of the prices will come down.

Wonder who makes the 10th scale controller for losi?

Thunderbruiser 10.11.2007 08:48 PM

yea 4 tec then e-maxx or e-revo...maybe even a truggy..we'll see

_paralyzed_ 10.11.2007 11:50 PM

nice links, thanks man!

crazyjr 10.12.2007 01:45 AM

Thanks, i do my best. I wander around a lot and if i find something that we would like or need I post it. My belief is, That if you want something and can't make it, let your wallet tell others what you want. I try to support those who make what i want. I really want the 1/36 system

lincpimp 10.12.2007 10:05 AM

Does the micro t have a 3 wire servo? Also the electronics are 1 piece so a new receiver would have to be added to, bet it would run with the high kv motor on 2s lipo!

Serum 10.12.2007 10:16 AM

'Shaft Length 0.18in'

That's a relative short shaft, isn't it?!

sheesh, you guys make this way too easy...but i must....have.....restraint.....

Serum 10.12.2007 10:34 AM

Needless to say it was my intention to put it like that.

It sure is a potential nominee for the shortest shaft of the century trophy..

ClodMaxx 10.12.2007 10:36 AM

lol - i know it was intentional. it's just my high school humor (and i'm 36).

can it even be called a shaft at that length? wouldn't it just be a....bump?

Serum 10.12.2007 10:44 AM

technically it would be more of a pustule..

But not to fear; judged by that photo it's got a relative healthy sized shaft.

Must be a typo..

lincpimp 10.12.2007 10:48 AM

"healthy sized shaft"

Now thats what I like to hear, very manly. No one likes wimpy motors!

All we need is a pinion with a freshly drilled hoe for that shaft to fit into!

Serum 10.12.2007 10:49 AM

'can you tell me that story again of that thread that went lost for no reason Daddy..'

ClodMaxx 10.12.2007 10:50 AM

:lol::party::rofl:

lincpimp 10.12.2007 10:52 AM

I take fully responsibility (along with clod and serum) for the silliness that has occured in this thread. Please do not read this or the last 6 posts. Thanks you all for your continued support of my lame humor.

Serum 10.12.2007 01:45 PM

'Please do not read this or the last 6 posts.'

7 if you include this one..

I think we had a good discussion going on, Very supportive; i even felt less pittyfull about the .18" i am carrying around..

:lol::lol::whistle::angel:
A freshed drilled hoe for the healthy shaft. :mdr:

Me too, being the worlds tallest midget does have its downsides, some things grew better than others. I guess it is ok, not the size of the boat that matters, its the motion of the ocean. I can row extra hard, if necessary!

glassdoctor 11.27.2007 12:16 AM

Hey... I really hate to bring this thread back, but....

I found who makes the Losi brushless systems. Guess? ha ha

MetalMan 11.27.2007 12:23 AM

I'm gonna guess CC because it's sensorless.

BP-Revo 11.27.2007 01:27 AM

First thought would be CC...but I'm also thinking Tekin.

zeropointbug 11.27.2007 02:45 AM

In an odd turn of events for the two companies.... Traxxas by any chance?

I would guess Castle also... but seems like a trick question... hmm.... is the motor German Made?..

glassdoctor 11.27.2007 03:08 AM

Ok... I'm confused now... sorry. When we first saw the Losi, I figured it was a Novak esc. It looks a lot like a Novak. The motor looks just like a Traxxas/Castle.

But then I run across something that makes me think it's a Feigao... and it does look like this Feigao esc, and Feigao also appears to have small scale escs too, which could be the 1/18 and 1/36 Losi systems.

But the motor still doesn't look like a ringer for a Feigao... and with the close up pic of the Feigao I'm not so sure.

glassdoctor 11.27.2007 03:12 AM

Also, Losi says theirs is a sensorless... and Feigao says theirs does both sensored and sensorless.

Maybe Feigao makes the Traxxas one too, lol...

aqwut 11.27.2007 09:46 AM

I wouldn't be suprised if Feigao made it for everyone...

The 1/18 scale ESC looks like the one I was using on my MLST. It is the same 25A rating and has the same heat sink and little capacitor. The ESC I have is really nice and has an ABS setting that is amazing, but it overheats really bad. It will melt the plastic casing and in my case some components actually unsoldered. I was told not to use the stock MLST pinion and go with something smaller.
