lincpimp 11.14.2007 11:02 AM

I have ordered multiple items, usually on a monday night and get them by thursday. Extrememly fast shipping, especially compared to others. I recently bought a motor off ebay and the guy address the package wrong and sent it to himself!!! He could not understand why and emailed me a pic of the package that showed the return address in the middle and the ship to on the top left! Some people...

You wouldn't believe the number of people that do that. I see it almost everyday.

squeeforever 11.14.2007 02:35 PM

Mailman, so you really are a mailman?

I can imagine, kind of like poor spelling, what do they teach people in school these days?

Duster_360 11.15.2007 10:33 AM

Thats the trouble. Schools have turned in to daycare, I don't think they teach them much at all. I am astounded every summer with the high schoolers we take in as interns and how clueless most seem to be. How can you get to the 11grade and not know what an xy plot is??

Seems to be getting worse, not better which is really sad.

Schools are definitely just day care now, parents have become whiny wimps too. I recall back when I was a kid if I got in a fight, my parents would talk to their parents or vice versa, I would get a butt whoopin or praise depending on if I defended myself or instigated.

Now a days if two kids fight it becomes, break out the lawyers, sue the school, sue the teachers, sue the family of the kid. I think alot of parents are not really parenting either. So many young parents that want to go party, their kids see this behavior and mimic it throwing all responsibility to the wind.

Transformation.

WOW isn't it strange how these threads transform from one thing to another:lol:? Cool stuff.

We are all witnessing a real downward spiral of our society as a whole. Parents are paying less and less attention to their kids while trying to survive in the world of employment in order to keep their heads above water due to the escalating economy and never ending debt. Too many of them are just looking for a reason to sue as an answer to their financial shortcomings. The result is young adults with no clue of how to make it in the real world once they get here. Not to mention they are killing their classmates and the teachers because they can not get along with them:gasp:. So watching all of this can you imagine where it is all going to put us in the next ten to twenty years? If something does not change soon our nation will be the laughing stock of the modern world:rofl:. All the technology and money in the world and we can not even take care of our own kids:whip:. Pitiful don't you think???

lincpimp 11.16.2007 11:32 AM

We are the laughing stock.

We have government leaders that say stuff on national/international news and do not go through with it.

We also have the most pointless legal system. Win a lawsuit against a gun manufacturer cause you shot yourself.

It is a shame really, all of the decent intelligent people are too busy working to pay for all the mistakes the stupid people in power are making.

Soccer moms are dictating our rights in some misguided, ignorant attemp to keep their "babies" safe.

Plus I am too busy surfing the net to care. Here is the downfall of the american empire, get your hotdogs, nachos, peanuts, cotton candy! Hope I die before it collapses!

Start to day. Any races left in your area to vote on? If so get off your key board and go vote. We only have the sheriff's run off here on the southshore.

That's gotta be tough this time of year (through February) in Illinois...I used to live there in the 80s.

My hats off to ya...you guys do a great job getting us our stuff in a timely manner.

Duster_360 11.18.2007 03:07 PM

Mike - Thanks for the help!

I purchased a set of FLM hybrids thru RCM and the front went together and shimmed about as perfectly as one could wish for. As soon as I picked up the rear, I knew there was a problem. The cavity where the pinion bearings had been machined .005" too large - I know if doesn't sound like much but that lets the bearing literally fall out.

I emailed Mike on how to handle this and he copied his contact at FLM with his prompt reply which I sure appreciated! That opened the doors and FLM sent me a replacement before waiting to get the one I sent back. The new rear hybrid has turned out just like the front, butter smooth.

Mike, thanks for taking the time to lend your help and insure that things worked out and worked out quickly. I'll be doing more business at RCM for sure!!

Actually I prefer the winter over the summer. You can always add more layers in the winter, you can only take off so much in the summer before you start getting complaint calls. One thing I would recommend to anyone shipping through the Postal service is to use Priority service over Parcel Post. I mailed a Revo to lincpimp using Parcel Post and they told me at the window that it would take about 5 days - it took 20.

I mean the Parcel Post service that the USPS offers it can be VERY slow.

ClodMaxx 11.18.2007 05:45 PM

lol - yeah, don't i know it. i should be getting some small parts in a letter sent by Tower that was most likely sent parcel - from chicago to detroit. it should take 2 days, and instead it'll take 6 or 7! dammit.

Yeah, parcel seems to work better for some things than others! Large packages seem to take their time. Overall I have had exceptional service from USPS, even on insurance claims. Jnev sent me some heli stuff on a trade and the box was crushed. Thank God he insured the package. Once I submitted the paperwork to the local PO they got me a money order in the mail the next day. Hows that for service!

ssspconcepts 11.19.2007 10:42 PM

Hey I just wanted to send out a big THANK YOU to Mike. I ordered my stuff last Friday and it arrived today!

Can't wait to try out that MGM!

jnev 11.20.2007 02:41 AM

I might as well also add tot his thread. I had a problem with my Revo motor mount. Mike sent a new one out the next day I emailed him (Thursday or Friday). And I received it today. :intello:

JERRY2KONE 11.20.2007 02:47 AM

Thanks

I must say a big thank you to Mike and the crew as well. I received the FLM chassis and tranny case last night. I was so excited I began the build right away. I put the chassis braces on with loctite and dry fit the rest of the assembly before going to bed. I still need a few little things to complete the project and then I can tear it down and locktite the entire truck. Thanks for the great products and servies. We are all greatful for waht you do for us. Have a great Thanksgiving guys.
